Even chiropractors need adjusting. đ
In this video, Dr Wasim is adjusting Dr Maria ânot because something dramatic happened, but because the work we do places its own repetitive strain on the body.
As chiropractors, we spend our days leaning over treatment tables, using our hands and arms repeatedly and working in similar positions for hours at a time.
Over time, that can create tension through the:
⢠Neck and shoulders
⢠Mid and lower back
⢠Wrists and elbows
⢠Hands and forearms
Getting adjusted regularly is one of the ways we Chiropractors support our own movement and help offset some of the physical pressure that comes with treating patients every day.
But this isnât only relevant to chiropractors.
Think about what your body repeatedly does throughout the dayâŚ
Do you sit at a desk for hours?
Lift or carry children?
Spend long periods driving?
Work on your feet?
Bend, twist or lift repeatedly?
Use the same hand, arm or shoulder all day?
Sometimes it isnât one major injury that creates a problem. Itâs the accumulation of the same small movements, positions and physical demandsâday after day.
Your work may be completely different from ours, but your body still carries the load of what you repeatedly ask it to do.
So, hereâs a question worth considering:
What does your average day ask of your bodyâand where are you beginning to feel it?
If youâve noticed recurring tension, stiffness or discomfort that keeps returning, it may be time to have your movement assessed and understand what could be contributing to it.
Wasim is now available for appointments at Activtherapy Gregory Hills. Send us a message or book online if youâd like to organise a time. đ
