WHAT’S YOUR REASON TO MOVE? 🧐

In the clinic, we have many conversations with patients about their goals for treatment and injury management.

Whilst their answers might primarily focus on pain relief, we always ask more questions to understand your WHY or your emotional connection to getting better, such as:
▪️What does your normal exercise routine look like? Have you stopped or reduced this normal routine because of the injury?
▪️What is it you want to get back to doing that you currently can’t do because of your injury/pain?

In other words, is there something you’re PASSIONATE about or ENJOY doing, or is there simply an everyday task that you can’t do anymore? Maybe it’s gardening, playing with the kids, going for long walks, using stairs or riding your bike on the weekend 🚴🏿

What we aim to understand in your treatment journey is not only what is the cause of your injury, how it happened and what we can do to rehab it - but more importantly what does it mean to YOU, what does getting back to moving more freely mean to YOU, and why do you MOVE?

So we want to know - what’s your reason to move?? Let us know in the comments below!👇🏽🤩

We often do not set realistic goals or expectations. Rehabilitation of an injury is a process and often takes time. This is not always directed by pain.
Setting yourself with realistic expectations gives you a more positive outlook, which ultimately leads to better outcomes.

Front foot elevated strategy
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a great variation to add into your workouts & rehab. For the right person at the right time, this variation allows for a greater range of motion to get the individual towards their goals. It’s also quite easy to manipulate the exercise to bias a knee dominant approach, or a hip dominant approach - again it depends on the goal

Just a reminder that we’re not open to everyone for an osteo appointment, or exercise rehab appointments. Feel free to send us a message if you need any help. Happy freedom day!

💥Our bodies are designed to move!
Just ask anyone who suffers from Arthritis. Too much rest will stiffness up their joints. But once the get moving, they free up and feel much better! 🙌.
When, stiff and inflamed tissues are moved gently and regularly in a non-aggravating way, pain may actually reduce 🤯.
Initially their may be fear around moving, as the first few movements may be painful. But finding positions of ease, and intensity is key! 🔑.
The old saying Rest is Best - is now no longer true 👎🙅

In fact quite the opposite. Pain can often become worse with immobility and delay the recovery process. 🥺

✅ Find positions and intensities that suit you and make you feel better. Regular short bouts of movement, promote blood flow!
Think of movement as your own internal can of WD-40! 🤣🤣
