Ah Sunday morning…
That beautiful little space where we still embrace the rest and relaxation of the weekend, but with the awareness of a new week.
And somehow, we’re already almost one full week into spring.
Only a few days ago we were welcoming her arrival, noticing those first blossoms, tiny green shoots and the subtle shift of the season.
There’s still something tentative about these first days of spring.
Winter hasn’t quite released her influence yet, with grey, rainy and windy days in between the sunshine, but that unmistakable sense of spring is nevertheless there, providing a sense of optimism even on the gloomy days.
As spring settles, we notice…
• The days stretching out just that little longer.
• A subtle, clearer change in the light.
• The shift in temperature.
Everywhere, nature seems to be quietly getting on with the business of becoming.
But nothing is in full bloom just yet.
New growth is emerging, but much of what will eventually blossom is still taking shape beneath the surface.
And perhaps there’s a wisdom in that for us too.
Because beginnings don’t always arrive with a fanfare.
Sometimes they begin quietly.
With an idea.
An intention.
A feeling that something is shifting.
Or simply the sense that we might be ready for something new, even if we don’t quite know what that looks like yet.
So as we pause and take in our surroundings with a coffee, tea, hot chocolate or even that warming cup of soup, we can luxuriate in the knowledge that the quiet emergence of the season is here.
It is also timely that this week we’re moving towards Friday’s New Moon in Virgo.
New Moons have long been associated with beginnings, intentions and planting seeds for the lunar cycle ahead.
And Virgo brings a beautifully earthy quality to that invitation — reminding us that whatever we wish to grow needs tending.
Not necessarily through enormous changes or grand declarations.
Sometimes it begins with the smallest things.
✨ What would I like to nurture?
✨ What needs a little more attention?
✨ What small shift might help me feel more grounded or aligned?
✨ What might be quietly ready to begin?
Perhaps we don’t need to know all the answers yet.
After all, nature doesn’t plant a seed and demand a flower by tomorrow.
There is darkness first.
Then shoots
Then the smallest movement towards the light.
And eventually…
the blossom.
So if you want to anchor yourself further into these new emerging energies, join me The Dreaming Fountain next Sunday — Sunday, 13 September — for Sunday Sound Sanctuary.
This restorative sound meditation provides another opportunity to pause, reconnect and simply listen, with an afternoon of sound, vibration and deep rest, ready to settle us further into September and welcome whatever might be beginning to stir within.
• No pushing.
• No forcing.
• No need to have it all figured out.
Just an hour to…
✨ Rest
✨ Receive
✨ Realign
…and perhaps give those quiet seeds of possibility a little space to grow.
