Disability doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
Someone may appear completely fine while navigating sensory overload, chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, communication differences, executive functioning challenges or a neurological or medical condition.
Sometimes simply getting through an environment that wasn’t designed with their needs in mind can take an enormous amount of energy.
We don’t need someone to look disabled before we believe them. And they shouldn’t have to explain or prove their disability before their needs are respected.
A little patience, flexibility and understanding can make a much bigger difference than we realise.
You don’t need to understand someone’s disability to respect their needs.

We often think of independence as being able to do everything for ourselves.
But real independence can look very different.
It can mean choosing who supports you. Making your own decisions. Having someone beside you when you need them. Learning something at your own pace. Or having the right accommodations so you can participate in the things that matter to you.
Needing support and having independence can exist together.
Sometimes the right support is exactly what makes greater independence possible.

Linda brings a wealth of experience, including a background in security and extensive experience supporting people to build confidence, independence and achieve their personal goals.

💙 Linda has a special interest in Mental Health Support and is passionate about providing calm, compassionate and person-centred support to help participants thrive.

🌟 RaeCare is Hiring – Support Workers Wanted 🌟

We are currently looking for a reliable female support worker to join our growing team in the Yarrabilba / Scenic Rim areas.

📍 Available Supports:

• Yarrabilba Area
Monday to Friday
3:00pm – 5:30pm
Occasional Saturdays
9:00am - 2:00pm
ADL supports

• Scenic Rim Area
Monday & Friday
9:00am – 2:30pm
Community access supports

Both above placements could be taken by the one support worker.

Requirements:
✔ Female support worker (as requested by participants)
✔ Reliable vehicle & current vehicle insurance
✔ Current First Aid & CPR
✔ Reliable and committed
✔ Hold or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Experience within disability support is highly regarded, but reliability, compassion, and a positive attitude are equally important.

⭐ Additional Position Available ⭐
We are also seeking an experienced Support Worker, EN (Enrolled Nurse), or similar qualified applicant to join our team for a high-support participant.
Location- Scenic Rim area.

📍 Rotational roster available:
• Monday – Sunday
• 6:30am – 2:30pm
• 2:30pm – 9:00pm
This position involves regular ongoing shifts, with consistent hours available for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who is:
✔ Female support worker (as requested by participant)
✔ Comfortable providing personal care
✔ Experience with changing personal aids is highly regarded
✔ Experienced within disability support/high-support care
✔ Reliable, professional, and compassionate
✔ Confident working independently and as part of a team
✔ Holds current First Aid & CPR
✔ Has a reliable vehicle & current vehicle insurance
✔ Holds or is willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
