A little something to take into a new week 🫶

The way we talk to ourselves matters more than we probably realise. And sometimes, we just need a different sentence to interrupt an old thought.

Have a read through these and see which one you needed to hear today ✨

And while you’re making plans for the week ahead, don’t forget to put yourself on the list too.

If you’ve been meaning to check in, slow down, or give your wellbeing a little more attention, we’d love to see you at Healthful this week.

Happy Sunday community 🤍

Okay, but sticky date pudding for breakfast?
Very into it.

These sticky date baked oats are basically the cosy, caramel-y dessert situation we all love, just made into a nourishing breakfast that actually keeps you going through the morning.

Soft baked oats, juicy Medjool dates, cinnamon, vanilla and a little nut butter, finished with the easiest sticky date sauce.

We love a breakfast that brings together fibre, protein and healthy fats. It’s a simple way to make your meal more satisfying and support steady energy, rather than having something that leaves you hungry again an hour later 😬

And you genuinely don’t need loads of added sugar here. The dates do most of the sweetening, while also adding fibre and that gorgeous sticky caramel flavour.

STICKY DATE BAKED OATS

1 ripe banana, mashed
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup milk of choice
4–5 Medjool dates, finely chopped
1 tbsp nut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed
Pinch of sea salt

For the sticky date sauce:

2 Medjool dates
2 tbsp milk of choice
1 tsp nut butter
Pinch of sea salt

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Mash the banana, then mix in the milk, vanilla and nut butter.

Add the oats, chopped dates, cinnamon, baking powder, chia or flax and salt. Give everything a good mix and pour into a small baking dish.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden on top and set in the middle.

For the sauce, gently warm the dates, milk, nut butter and salt together until the dates soften. Mash until smooth and caramel-like, adding a splash more milk if needed.

Pour over your baked oats while they’re warm.

Add some coconut yoghurt or an extra spoonful of nut butter on top if you’re feeling fancy.

Making the thing you’re craving in a way that gives your body a little more of what it needs!

Save this one for your next slow morning 🤍

Maybe we’re all just looking for a place where we feel understood🤍

A place where you can actually talk about what’s been going on ••• all the things you’ve noticed, the things you’ve been feeling, the things you can’t quite put your finger on yet.

You want to feel more like yourself.
You want to understand your body.
You want support through the changes.
You want someone to connect the dots.
You want care that feels personal, not one-size-fits-all.

At Healthful, we bring together clinical naturopathy, acupuncture and integrative care to create a more considered approach to your health ••• one that looks at you as a whole person, not just a list of your symptoms treating them individually✨

Because sometimes the most valuable thing is having someone slow down, listen properly and work with you to understand what your body might be asking for.

Whether you’re navigating hormones, energy, digestion, stress, fertility, changing seasons of life or simply feeling like something is a little… off

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through our doors.

Our 1:1 consultations are available in person at Healthful or via phone, so you can choose the kind of care that feels right for you.

Come as you are 🤍

Part 2 of our fertility series with Sharon 🤍

One of the most common patterns Sharon sees when supporting women with fertility from a Chinese medicine perspective? Blood deficiency.

And no, we’re not just talking about your iron levels!
Even though they can coincide 💁🏼‍♀️

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, “Blood” is a much broader concept ••• it’s about nourishment, circulation and having enough of the right resources available to support the body and reproductive system

Think of it like this: before your body has to grow and carry a pregnancy, we want to make sure it has the foundations to support that process.

That’s why building and nourishing your own Blood is such an important part of preconception care.

Food, digestion, rest, your menstrual cycle and your overall wellbeing can all be part of the conversation when we’re looking at this through a Chinese medicine lens.

A successful Fertility journey isn’t about the moment you want to conceive; it’s about preparing the body beforehand.

And this is just one piece of the bigger picture 👀

Okay, we can finally share a little update…
We’ve officially locked in our new Healthful space! 🫰🏼

We’re saying goodbye to Glenelg and heading to Wayville, around Goodwood Road + Leader Street, and we are SO excited about it!!!

There’s still a little bit to do in the new space before we can properly show you around, but we’re aiming for an early November move-in, so we’ll be busy bees behind the scenes until then 👀

It’s been a pretty big year for Healthful and we’ve been growing in so many ways, so finding a space that can grow with us just felt right.

It’s going to give us so much more room to expand what we’re doing, bring more things to our community and really create the kind of space we’ve been envisioning for Healthful ✨

And we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been super excited and supportive of this move. We’ve had so many lovely messages and it genuinely means so much to us 🥹

Bear with us while we get everything ready…

Healthful’s next chapter is officially underway and we can’t wait to bring you along with us.

Stay tuned for more updates 🤍

We fear we’ve just found your new personality trait… putting goat’s cheese in absolutely everything 😬

These crispy artichoke, goat’s cheese & pesto quesadillas are ridiculously easy, take about 10 minutes to make!

Golden, crunchy edges. Creamy goat’s cheese. Tangy artichokes. Herby pesto. Basically the ideal “I have no idea what to make for lunch or dinner” meal.

SAVE ME FOR LATER 👀

ARTICHOKE, GOAT’S CHEESE & PESTO QUESADILLAS

Makes 2 • you’ll need

2 wholegrain tortillas
80–100g goat’s cheese, crumbled
½ cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
2 tbsp pesto (bonus points if you make your own - we have a recipe on our page if you’re stuck)
2 handfuls baby spinach or rocket
Fresh lemon juice
1 tsp olive oil
Salt + cracked pepper
Chilli flakes if you’re into a little kick

1. Prep
Drain and roughly chop the artichokes. Toss with pesto, a squeeze of lemon and cracked pepper.
2. Build
Spread the artichoke + pesto mixture over half of each tortilla. Crumble over the goat’s cheese, add spinach or rocket, then fold in half.
3. Crisp it up
Heat a little olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook for 2–3 minutes each side, gently pressing down, until golden and crisp and the cheese is warm.
4. Serve
Slice into wedges and finish with lemon, cracked pepper and chilli flakes. Serve with a simple side salad or extra greens.

✨ OUR NATUROPATH TIP
A simple way to build a more balanced meal by bringing together quality carbs, protein, fats and plant-based fibre.

And our Metabolic Balance clients will recognise one of these ingredients 👀 Goat’s cheese is a go-to on many individualised plans, depending on your personal food list.

Personalised nutrition is all about learning how to enjoy food and support your goals ~ not making healthy eating boring!

Enjoy 🤍

We all need a space where we can show up exactly as we are 💁🏼‍♀️

No judgement, no need to have the perfect routine, no need to feel polished and absolutely no pretending you’ve got it all together.

That’s what we want Healthful to feel like 🤍

A space where our practitioners genuinely have your back, listen without judgement, support you through the messy moments and celebrate the good ones too.

Both life and your health journey will have chapters.

Some will feel easy, some won’t, and you shouldn’t have to navigate them alone.

Come as you are. We’ve got you, through every chapter of you ✨

25/08/2026

Can we stop blaming every weird little thing on our hormones for a second?!

Because yes, your hormones matter. A LOT.

But they’re also constantly responding to what’s happening in the rest of your life ••• your sleep, your stress, your food, blood sugar, movement, caffeine, alcohol, your cycle, medications, thyroid health… basically, your body is one giant group chat and everyone has an opinion.

So when you’re feeling puffy, exhausted, moody, craving everything in sight or just generally not yourself, it’s worth zooming out before deciding your hormones are the villain.

Have you actually been sleeping enough?
Eating enough (and enough protein)?
Moving your body?
Building strength?
Taking proper breaks?
Doing things that make you genuinely happy?
Giving yourself a little quiet time where nobody needs anything from you?

And this isn’t about saying “just sleep more” and magically fixing everything. Sometimes your body does need deeper, more targeted support ••• and that’s where things like hormone therapy, herbs, supplements and personalised treatment can have a place 🫶

But the foundations matter.
And we know for a fact a lot of you are missing the mark when it comes to the simple things (and we totally get it life’s hard)

Just remember your body + hormones aren’t working against you. They’re responding to you. Communicating with you. 🤍

So before you declare war on your hormones, maybe ask: what is my body actually asking for right now?

And if you’re curious about all things hormones, perimenopause, menopause and feeling good in your body through midlife…

💌 Comment HORMONES and we’ll send you our weekly newsletter. Filled with practical tips, little “ohhh, that makes sense” moments and plenty of ways to better understand what your body is doing.
