When I was a Myotherapy student, I always practised dry needling on myself. These are 50mm needles. I didn't think it was fair to not know how it felt if I was going to do it to other people. So I would draw lines on myself of where the muscles are and dry needle everything I could do myself. That's why I am gentle and accurate with my needling nowadays and only use it when necessary.
