HYDRO: We are STILL running through winter!

Our hydrotherapy sessions continue every Tuesday at the indoor heated pool at Pimpama Sports Hub from 8:30am–1:30pm.

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic low-impact option for people managing:
✔️ Arthritis
✔️ Back, neck & joint pain
✔️ Balance and mobility concerns
✔️ Early-stage injury rehabilitation
✔️ Low-impact cardiovascular fitness

The warm water environment helps reduce pressure on joints while improving strength, movement, confidence, and overall function.

If you’ve been thinking about giving hydrotherapy a try, winter is actually the perfect time to start in a comfortable heated pool environment 🙌

For more information, check out our hydrotherapy page:

Or get in touch with our team to arrange a hydrotherapy assessment and see if it’s right for you.

“I’ve been doing the same exercises for months…”

We hear this all the time, and it’s a problem.

Exercise isn’t supposed to stay the same.

Your body adapts quickly.
If your program isn’t progressing, neither are you.

That’s where a lot of exercise programs falls short:

• Same exercises
• Same intensity
• No clear progression

At Adjust, your exercise physiology program evolves every with every 4 week block,
because your body needs new challenges to actually change.

If it feels repetitive… it’s probably not doing enough anymore.

A lot more than most people think. Research into motor learning suggests:

-3,000-5,000 reps to start changing a movement pattern
-10,000-20,000+ reps to make it consistent
-Up to 50,000 reps to make it automatic

And that last stage is the goal. Because if a movement is not automatic, your shoulder will often fall back into the same pattern that caused the problem in the first place.

Now, that does not mean doing the SAME exercise 50,000 times. It means 50,000 reps of progressive, targeted exercises that retrain how your shoulder moves and handles load over time.

That is why:

-Short-term treatment is not enough
-Random exercises are not enough
-Structured, progressive rehab is key

It’s not because massage doesn’t work.

It’s because it’s often used on its own.

Massage can:

✔ Reduce pain
✔ Improve movement
✔ Release tension

But if nothing changes after that…your body just returns to the same pattern.

That’s why at Adjust, massage is often used as part of a bigger plan:

👉 Loosen things up
👉 Then reinforce it with movement + rehab

That’s how you make the results last (not just feel good for a day or two).

Our remedial massage therapists train alongside our physios & EP's to be able to help their patients more than the average massage practitioner + our multidiscplinary team is always on hand to help assist with more complex cases that need more than one case input. You won't find this commonly.

Are you stuck in this trap?

This is something we see all the time.

Pain starts → you get a scan → it shows “bursitis” → you rest or get an injection → it settles… for a bit → you return to activity → pain comes straight back, all resulting in your shoulder becoming weaker each time.

The problem?
Bursitis is often not the root cause. It is a response.

If the underlying issue is not addressed (strength, movement patterns, tendon load), the cycle just keeps repeating.

That is why so many people feel like their shoulder “never fully fixes.”

The goal should not just be to settle pain temporarily.
It should be to identify and treat what is actually driving it.

If this looks familiar, we break it down in more detail in our most recent blog post here:
