Finding a little more magic...
Lately, as the girls are getting older, we’ve started to feel a little more able to venture out of the house.
With twins, even the simplest outing can feel like a military operation, so it’s been easy to stay home in our own little bubble. And honestly, adjusting to life with twins has been challenging. There have been plenty of beautiful moments, but also exhaustion and days where we’ve felt completely stuck in a funk.
But lately, we’ve been intentionally making the effort to get out (even when we don’t feel like it!) and romanticise our everyday life a little. Things like a trip to the markets, a dip in the creek, or visiting places we haven’t been in a while.
And something beautiful happens when we do...
The world feels a little bigger and we feel a little lighter!
The best part is watching it all through the eyes of our little girls. It is all completely new to them, and everything seems mystical and wonderful. A tree, a bird, the water moving through the creek, the sounds and colours of a busy market…
Watching them discover the world has reminded us how much we can miss when we become too familiar with our surroundings or too stuck in our own heads.
When we make the effort to get out, explore and romanticise the ordinary, we find more synchronicities and little moments of magic.
So, what could you do this month to romanticise your life a little more? How can you create opportunities to see the extraordinary in what is already here?
Sending you love and magic!
