✨ Meet our new rebounder! ✨

We’re excited to add this high-quality rebounder to our movement equipment at Children’s Therapy Services Queensland.

Within some of our individualised sessions, we may use short periods of gentle rebounding as a movement-based activity before moving into selected primitive reflex exercises.

Rebounding gets the body moving, increases breathing and heart rate, and can be a fun way to incorporate whole-body movement into a session. How and whether we use it will depend on each child’s individual needs, abilities and therapy goals.

We’ve been really impressed with the quality of this rebounder, and families or therapists who would like one for home or clinics can receive 10% off using our code CTSQ when purchasing.

We’re looking forward to incorporating it into our clinic sessions!

Here’s a little peek at some of the activities happening behind the doors at Children’s Therapy Services Queensland.

At CTSQ, therapy doesn’t always look like therapy.

It might look like bouncing, swinging, climbing, balancing, creating, playing, laughing or exploring but behind every activity there is therapeutic thinking, individual goals and opportunities to build new skills.

Through carefully selected activities, our team can support children to develop areas such as:

We’re currently working through Tomatis® practitioner training, with the aim of bringing this listening-based approach to children and families across the Gold Coast and beyond.

The Tomatis® Method uses specially processed music and voice through specialised listening equipment. It is designed to support auditory processing and listening, with programs individually selected according to a person’s needs.

Depending on the individual, Tomatis® may be used as part of a broader therapeutic approach to support areas such as:

🗣️ Communication & language development
📚 Learning and engagement
🎵 Auditory discrimination
🌱 Participation and regulation

Meet Shreya, Our New Physiotherapist 🌿

We’re pleased to welcome Shreya, Physiotherapist, to the team at Children’s Therapy Services Queensland (CTSQ).

Shreya is now taking bookings at our Robina clinic for both initial physiotherapy assessments and ongoing physiotherapy appointments.

Physiotherapy may support children with areas such as:

• Gross motor development
• Balance and coordination
• Strength and stability
• Mobility and movement skills
• Posture and functional movement
• Participation in everyday activities

Appointments are available for:

💜 Private clients
💜 NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed
💜 Children attending under an eligible Chronic Condition Management (CCM) Plan with a GP referral

🏆 A very proud moment for Connie! 🏆

Connie popped into the clinic to show us the belts she has earned through her recent competitions and we loved chatting about her achievements and holding the belts!

Connie has worked with some of our team at Children’s Therapy Services Queensland on and off alongside her training over the years, and it has been wonderful to follow her journey.

Her commitment, determination and hard work in her training have been incredible, and those belts represent a lot of effort both in and outside of the competition arena.

Well done, Connie, you should be incredibly proud of yourself!
