If you’re thinking of taking an extended trip, be intentional about what you bring. So many things just took up room in my suitcase. I say if you don’t wear it now, you won’t wear it while traveling. For me, it’s “elevated comfort” every time 💅🏼

A year ago we got to spend 2 weeks at the VMF- a vervet monkey sanctuary in SA. That’s where I met this sweet boy, Olaf 😍.
We helped maintain the sanctuary and raise the orphaned baby monkeys, and learned so much. Mainly that monkeys are not pets! And that many “sanctuaries” in South Africa are scams. (Not this one!)

*If you’re looking to volunteer, please make sure to research the spot on GFAS and PASA websites. They should be rated and have accreditations. Many of the volunteer sites in South Africa pose as sanctuaries but really they’re raising African species to be hunted :( *
