Recent training moments 💪🏼🏃🏽‍♀️

Right now my focus is the Half Marathon but I’m still keeping some hyrox specific sessions in the mix because once the half mara is done… it’s only 7 weeks until Perth Hyrox 🤘

Key things I’m prioritising this training block is properly fuelling my body and making sure I’m eating enough to perform, recover and actually feel good doing it with the help of .nutrition.

My training program is structured to me and my goals and I’m grateful to have a supportive coach/friend to help me achieve my goals. Coached by the queen .

I’m also learning that recovery is just as important as the sessions themselves with quality sleep, rest days, slowing down when needed, all the things I used to overlook. I loveeeee my to help with tracking recovery, sleep and making sure I’m not overdoing it!

Ticking the boxes to achieve my goals, but the biggest goal is staying healthy and strong to enjoy the process along the way 🫶🏽

It’s hard to admit but…

I was obsessed with being lean, I used to get the most compliments when I was at my leanest, the most likes and validation.

I had no period for 2-3 years and people didn’t see this. I was underfuelling for the amount of training I was doing and ignoring all the warning signs because I believed that I would only get accepted if I was lean.

This came at a cost and my body was forced to listen. A stress fracture and RED-S… and the realisation that what I thought was “healthy” wasn’t at all.

Not everything that is praised is healthy and not everything that is healthy will be praised. We need to stop idolising lean and start respecting bodies that are functioning, fuelled correctly and sustainable because the body you are chasing could be costing you more than you realise.

The version of me now couldn’t be happier. My cycle is back, my body is functioning and I feel stronger than ever. I no longer chase being “lean” I fuel for performance because health is so much more than how we look.

My first open solo and definitely not the last 👀…

This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and I remember at one point I thought I wasn’t going to be able to finish… but I did!! And crossing that line with the biggest smile on my face made every second of the prep worth it.

This race is a reflection of all my hard work, the setbacks and everything it took to get here. So many lessons, so many takeaways… and I’m already so keen for the next one 🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏼

There was a time when it was so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel…

Coming back taught me that healing isn’t linear and it doesn’t need a deadline.

Running .running 26km for 2026 was a huge achievement for me but…

I’m not proud because of the distance.
I’m proud because I didn’t give up on myself.

If you’re coming back from injury, burnout or a season that changed you, let this be your reminder that progress doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful.

Your chapter 1 is enough 🫶🏽

The basics aren’t basic when you’ve been injured, they’re everything.

1️⃣ Fuel properly: Fuelling for performance always! no pushing sessions under-fuelled, just consistent energy so my body can perform and repair.
2️⃣ 7–8 hours sleep: my minimum. Recovery literally happens here, so it’s non-negotiable.
3️⃣ Recovery routine: prioritising stretching always and I’ve been incorporating compression boots which have become part of the nightly ritual, helping reduce soreness and keep me training strong.

It’s the simplest habits that make the biggest impact.
