A NEW CHAPTER FOR ORGANIK
From 1st October, I’ll be returning to working solo in my business.
Lately, I’ve been feeling like trying to make it as a small business owner is becoming almost impossible and extra stress that I choose not to take on anymore.
The cost of living has increased, wages have increased, rent is expensive, products and supplies cost more, insurance, electricity, fees, tax… the list just keeps growing.
You can have a busy business and work incredibly hard, but once everything is paid, sometimes you wonder where all that hard work actually went.
I absolutely love what I do and I’m incredibly proud of the business I’ve built over the years, but I’ve also realised that bigger doesn’t always mean better.
For me, success is starting to look a little different.
It’s about keeping my overheads manageable, simplifying my business, doing the treatments I love, looking after my beautiful clients and actually having a life outside of work.
Somewhere along the way, we were taught that success in business means more.
- More staff.
- A bigger space.
- Longer hours.
- More clients.
- More services.
- More money.
But I don’t believe that anymore.
Sometimes the most successful thing you can do is recognise when more is no longer making your life better.
Simplifying your business doesn’t mean you couldn’t handle growth.
It doesn’t mean your business failed.
And it certainly doesn’t erase everything you worked so hard to build.
Sometimes simplifying means you’ve finally figured out what success actually looks like for you.
I’m choosing simple.
Not because I’m giving up on my business, but because I want to enjoy the business I’ve spent years building.
Success doesn’t always mean building something bigger.
Sometimes success is building something that gives you your life back.
And I think there’s something pretty successful about that. 🤎
