The professional beauty industry lost a true pioneer. 💙

James ‘Jim’ Nordstrom, CEO, chairman, and driving force behind Creative Nail Design (CND™) for 18 years, passed away on 21 March 2026, aged 69.

What began in a garage in 1979 grew into one of the most recognised names in professional nail care globally. Jim’s vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to education, safety, and consistency helped shape the industry so many of us call home.

The Professional Salon Brands team extends our deepest condolences to Jim’s wife, Linda, his daughters, Niki and Carli, and the entire CND family. His legacy lives in every salon, every kit, and every professional he inspired.

Rest in peace, Jim. The industry is better for everything you built. 🕊️
