Join Griffith University Gender Equity in Medicine for our Ready for the Wards Night — an evening designed to help you feel more confident, prepared and supported as you step into the clinical environment! 💙

Whether you’re a pre-clinical student heading into GP placements or a Year 3–4 student preparing for hospital rotations, come along to hear practical tips, ask questions and get advice from students and clinicians who’ve been there before.

Empower yourself to make a difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ patients! 💊🏥 Join us for 'Being a Doctor for LGBTQIA+ Patients' hosted by GEM.

The Evenings Run Plan:
Introduction to Gender Affirming Care with Captain Nia Franks, a trans woman, MProfPsych graduate, passionate researcher and advocate for accessible gender affirming healthcare.
Clinical Applications: Scenario-Based Teaching with Dr. Stuart Aitken: specialist sexual health physician with a focus on endocrine treatments for trans and non-binary patients.
Round table discussions and dedicated Q&A time.
