Who is it for?
⚽️🏀🏈Foundation Class
For beginners or young athletes aged 11-13yrs old
Targeting fundamental foundation body weight movements & correct movement patterns, including some jumping/ landing (great for developing bone strength and health in young kids and developing their tendons into useful springs to help them move with power)
Duration: 45min
ASCA Coach: Trent Ousby & Jaiden Basalo
The class size is limited to 6.

🏏🏊‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️Emerging Athlete Class
For ages 14-17yrs old
Targeting building strength, speed & power while continuing to develop good movement (a natural step up from the fundamentals, introducing young athletes to proper strength training and starting to connect it to their sport, all in a way that suits their stage of growth)
Duration: 60min
ASCA Coach: Jaiden Basalo
The class size is limited to 4

⛹🏼‍♂️🏌🏻‍♀️🏄🏽🚴🏽Performance Athlete Class
For ages 17+yrs old
Targeting more advanced strength & power that carries over to their sport (the next step for athletes ready to train at a higher level, building on everything they’ve developed and fine tuning the qualities that help them perform and compete at their best)
Duration: 60min

The class size is limited to 3 for absolute individualisation of feedback.

❌ Ignoring niggles because “taper is coming soon anyway”
Small issues can quickly become bigger problems. Early management is always easier.

❌ Guessing your training load
Not every training plan suits every runner. If you’re unsure whether your volume or intensity is right for you, get some personalised advice.

✅ Load management is king
Most running injuries come from doing too much, too soon, too often. Sometimes a rest day or deload week is exactly what your body needs.

Keep young cross country and track runners healthy through early assessment and management of potential injuries and aches.

What people call ‘shin splints’ is almost always medial tibial stress syndrome.

It’s a soft-tissue and bone-stress problem at the inside of the shin. Not a splint. Not a tendon snap. Not a tear.

What causes it 90% of the time:
✓ A sudden jump in running volume
✓ Going from flats to a track too quickly
✓ Adding hills before the legs are ready
✓ New shoes with a different drop

What helps:
✓ Backing off volume (not stopping completely)
✓ Calf strengthening that progresses week to week
✓ A look at the running technique
✓ Patience

Left too long, this becomes a stress reaction, and a stress reaction is six to eight weeks off running, minimum. Don’t gamble on it.

It’s not just headaches or dizziness, changes in sleep, mood, vision, neck pain, and mental fatigue can all be part of the picture after a head knock.
