Yoga has now been reinstated as a recognised natural therapy under Australian private health insurance.

I have been approved as a Yoga Australia Private Health provider, meaning you may be able to claim rebates from your health fund towards the cost of your sessions with me.

Please check with your private health fund for the item codes 700 - claimed as a line item for an individual yoga session or 1-1 therapy session held in studio; and 701 - for an in-studio yoga class of up to eight people (this is usually part of your Extras cover and requires a recommendation letter from your GP).

How to Get There

Go to the end of the path until you get to the gate.

Keep going towards the horizon.
Sit down and have a rest every now and again,

I’d love you to give this a read! Such subtlety in the practice of yoga depending on the person (their unique makeup, strengths and weaknesses), and their purpose (what do they want to achieve).
And ultimately, with self-knowledge and awareness, understanding that the practice itself is the teacher.

Sri Krishnamacharya never taught yoga as a fixed method. For him, yoga was a way of moving toward svastha—a state of holistic well-being. In Ayurveda, health is not defined simply as the absence of disease, but as a sense of balance in the body, breath, senses, and mind.

Seen this way, yoga has to be practiced holistically and individually. It brings together movement, breathing, attention, and self-awareness, and it is not about performing postures or copying a teacher. Within the framework of svastha, the aim of yogic practice is self-regulation: learning to sense what is happening internally, to adapt practice intelligently, and to take responsibility for one’s own health.

When the focus shifts from external form to internal regulation and awareness, yoga becomes a practical support for lifelong well-being rather than a routine to be imitated.
