P R P
•
Look at all those platelets … More platelets = more regeneration
•
Alocuro PRP is a TGA approved platelet concentrating medical device that produces a precise density gradient separation. After centrifugation, the platelet layer is visible and via a patented extraction process the majority of platelets available in the whole blood sample can be collected within the PRP syringe
•
Alocuro’s main point of difference is the ability to customise the PRP in terms of platelet concentration, leukocyte concentration and total PRP (plasma) volume collected from the one system.
•
Platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) has been proven to:
• Improve skin health & appearance
• Reduce shallow wrinkles & pigmentation
• Improve skin collagen, elastin & texture
• non-surgical, minimal discomfort & down-time
•
What is P R P?
▫️It stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, which is blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets, also known as thrombocytes. PRP can help regenerate and revitalise damaged tissue.
•
How does a it work?
▫️Direct injections of PRP helps accelerate the process of tissue regeneration and repair, encouraging collagen, elastin and new blood supply.
•
How many treatments are required?
▫️This will depend on you individually. It is generally recommended that you have 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. This will be discussed with your treating health practitioner during your consultation.
•
How quickly does it work?
▫️After your first treatment, the platelets will stimulate the growth factors which will assist with collagen growth, elastin and blood supply to the treated area, over the next few weeks. This will continue to improve over the next few months.
•
What are the side effects?
▫️PRP is generally tolerated well. The most common side effects include, local irritation/redness and mild to moderate swelling.
