Making up the potions ✨, this has been a particularly successful mix: St John’s Wort + Rosemary + Gotu Kola + Withania + Chaste Tree + Globe Artichoke.

= Nourishment for the nervous system, mood & stress support, hormone balancing, and gut love 🧡

I am genuinely so excited to see more research emerging in the area of collaborative fertility care.

This recent survey research, presented at the FSANZ 2025 conference by Fertile Ground, explored patient experiences of receiving integrative support (naturopathy & acupuncture) alongside conventional fertility treatment and IVF, and the positive outcomes were clear.

As a naturopath with a strong interest in fertility and preconception care, this is an area I feel deeply passionate about.

Not because integrative care replaces conventional fertility treatment, but because many patients benefit from having more comprehensive support around nutrition, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, supplement guidance and overall health while navigating what can often be an incredibly demanding journey.

I love seeing clinics like Fertile Ground helping pave the way for more established collaborative models of care within the fertility space 👏.

To me, this is where the future of fertility support is heading: and it certainly helped me personally.
Evidence informed, patient-centred, collaborative care that supports the whole person alongside medical treatment.

A really positive step forward for both practitioners and patients alike ✨

Tired all day, but can’t switch off at night?

Most people I treat need magnesium supplementation, and my first choice is usually magnesium glycinate due to its excellent absorption and calming effect on the nervous system.
But when someone is feeling “wired but tired”, exhausted yet unable to switch off, with racing thoughts, stress, tension or disrupted sleep, I often choose a magnesium formula that also contains taurine.
Taurine is an amino acid that helps support a healthy stress response, promotes nervous system calm, and may help improve sleep quality. Combined with magnesium, it can provide an extra layer of support for those who struggle to truly relax and unwind.

Of course, supplements are only one piece of the puzzle, and addressing the underlying drivers of stress and poor sleep is always equally important.

“Can you increase testosterone naturally?”

It’s a good question for men to ask when experiencing low energy, reduced libido or fertility challenges.

A 2022 systematic review investigated the herbal medicine Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) and found promising evidence that it may support testosterone levels, particularly in men with lower baseline testosterone.

What’s also important, however, is understanding why testosterone may be low in the first place.

Stress (yes cortisol again), poor sleep, nutrient deficiencies, inflammation and environmental factors can all influence hormone production.

As a naturopath, my role is to look at the bigger picture and help uncover the underlying drivers contributing to hormone imbalance.

In clinic, I review both your symptoms and existing pathology, and where appropriate, discuss further testing options to help build a more complete picture of your health ✨

What does it actually mean to be a holistic practitioner?

For me it means identifying the deeper connections.

Not just asking “what are the symptoms?”
- but understanding what’s driving them in the first place.

The human body is incredibly interconnected, and often symptoms that seem unrelated can actually be influencing each other:
✨stress & digestion
✨nervous system & hormones
✨gut health & skin
✨inflammation & fertility

One of the most valuable skills I learned during my degree was how to connect those dots and see the body & mind as a whole system - not just isolated parts.

This is why naturopathic care is often less about quick fixes.. and more about uncovering the underlying drivers of dysfunction, and treating them in a sustainable, evidence - informed way.

It’s officially the season of the herbal cough and immune mixes 🌿🍂

At this time of year I find myself making lots of these blends — for coughs, sniffles, runny noses and all the winter bugs that come along.

This one was made up for one of my littlest loves 🤍
A soothing blend of herbs traditionally used to support the immune and respiratory systems during winter.

And honestly… being able to care for my children in this way is one of the things I love most about being a naturopath.

05/05/2026

There was a time when I didn’t know if I would be able to have children.

My IVF journey spanned 6 years.. and it changed me in ways I never expected.

But looking back, one of the hardest parts was feeling like there were pieces missing, searching for answers.. to things I wasn’t being told about how to best support myself (& my husband) through it all.

That experience is what led me to study naturopathy.

And through that, I discovered just how much more there is when it comes to fertility support, beyond what is often discussed with your Doctor.

Now, it’s something I feel incredibly passionate about.

Because while IVF may play an important part of the journey…
There is so much you can do in preparation for it, or alongside it, to support your body, your health, and ultimately your outcomes.

If you’re navigating fertility challenges right now, you don’t have to do it alone.

After using this test for my own family, I knew I wanted to learn more…

So, I’ve now completed additional training in Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA).

HTMA offers a deeper look at mineral balance over time, and can also provide insight into things like heavy metal exposure - both of which can play an important role in overall health, hormone function and fertility.

It’s also particularly helpful for children, as it’s non-invasive, easy to do from home, and can offer really valuable insights into mineral status and overall wellbeing.

I love being able to bring a more personalised, targeted support into clinic, and this tool helps me do exactly that.

If you’re interested to find out if this type of testing could be beneficial for you or a child, please DM me for details.
