Fertility is more than just hormones. 🌿

I take a whole-body approach to fertility, looking beyond the menstrual cycle to the foundations of health: nutritional status, stress, nervous system support, inflammation, toxin exposure and overall wellbeing.

Because supporting fertility isn’t just about preparing the reproductive system, it’s about supporting the whole person. 🤍

The woman in this photo had no idea she would one day become a naturopath.

She was simply doing everything she could to become a mum.

Looking back, there are so many things I wish I’d known.

Today, I have the privilege of sharing those lessons with other women walking a similar path 🤍

One bottle supports the nervous system…
Another helps the gut.
Another the hormones.
Another the immune system..

Every herb has its own unique actions, benefits and strengths, grounded in hundreds of years of traditional knowledge, now backed by modern research 🌿

One of my favourite parts of being a naturopath is blending them together into a formula that’s tailored specifically for you ✨ 🌿

Many people talk to me about many different symptoms.. fatigue, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, fertility challenges, brain fog…

But while these symptoms may seem unrelated, they often share a common underlying biological process.

As a naturopath, my role is to identify and address those underlying drivers using evidence- informed herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle medicine.

The G.E.M.M. Protocol adds another layer to this approach.

It focuses on the health of your cells, helping to activate your body’s own protective pathways involved in antioxidant defence, inflammation regulation, detoxification, immune system function and cellular renewal through the science of nutrigenomics.

And although it is a “protocol” its application is uniquely tailored to each individual.

This is why I’m excited to offer the G.E.M.M. Protocol as part of my clinical practice, allowing me to personalise treatment not only for the symptoms your experiencing today, but also for the cellular processes that may be contributing to them.

✨Because when healthier cells are supported, healthier tissues and systems have the opportunity to follow.

If you’re curious how nutrigenomics could help you, please reach out. I’d love to chat.

✨I am now a G.E.M.M. accredited practitioner ✨.and I’m so excited to bring this into my work with you .

GEMM (Gut Ecology & Metabolic Modulation) is a protocol that goes beyond “fixing the gut”, it works on the connection between your gut and immune system and how they are constantly talking to every other system in your body, including your hormones and fertility.

In simple terms:

🧬Support at a Cellular Level
Certain nutrients act like little switches, helping your own cells to do what they’re already programmed to do; defend, repair and rebalance themselves. This is called “nutrigenomics” and it’s one of the most exciting parts of this work.

⚖️Retraining the Immune System Response
For so many people dealing with things like Hashimoto’s, endometriosis or systemic inflammation, the goal isn’t to simply suppress the immune system, it’s to gently help it recalibrate to a balanced response.

Working with nutrigenomics at a cellular level feels like a natural extension of how I already work, always looking for the root cause, and always working WITH your body’s own natural healing processes, rather than against it.

I’ve already started using this approach with some of my existing patients and the early responses have been really encouraging. I’m looking forward to sharing more as this becomes part of how I support preconception, fertility, IVF preparation, perimenopause… there are so many applications.

If your curious whether this could be part of your journey, send me a DM, I’d love to chat.

While researching evidence-based herbal interventions for ADHD for a patient recently, I came across this study comparing saffron directly to Ritalin.

And honestly.. the finding were pretty fascinating.

I’m often asked in clinic and the dispensary about natural support options for ADHD, especially by parents whose children either:
•don’t tolerate stimulant medications well
•experience unwanted side effects
•or simply want to explore additional support options

What many people don’t realise is that saffron is just one of many evidence-based nutritional and herbal medicines that may be used to support:
•attention
•nervousness system regulation
•mood
•cognitive function

Of course, ADHD is complex and highly individual, and natural medicine never uses a one-size-fits-all approach or simply “replacing” medication.

But there is a growing body of research emerging in this space, and for many people exploring personalised support options can be incredibly valuable.

The future of integrative mental health care is going to be a very interesting space to watch, as more people look to natural support options 🌿✨

Making up the potions ✨, this has been a particularly successful mix: St John’s Wort + Rosemary + Gotu Kola + Withania + Chaste Tree + Globe Artichoke.

= Nourishment for the nervous system, mood & stress support, hormone balancing, and gut love 🧡

I am genuinely so excited to see more research emerging in the area of collaborative fertility care.

This recent survey research, presented at the FSANZ 2025 conference by Fertile Ground, explored patient experiences of receiving integrative support (naturopathy & acupuncture) alongside conventional fertility treatment and IVF, and the positive outcomes were clear.

As a naturopath with a strong interest in fertility and preconception care, this is an area I feel deeply passionate about.

Not because integrative care replaces conventional fertility treatment, but because many patients benefit from having more comprehensive support around nutrition, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, supplement guidance and overall health while navigating what can often be an incredibly demanding journey.

I love seeing clinics like Fertile Ground helping pave the way for more established collaborative models of care within the fertility space 👏.

To me, this is where the future of fertility support is heading: and it certainly helped me personally.
Evidence informed, patient-centred, collaborative care that supports the whole person alongside medical treatment.

A really positive step forward for both practitioners and patients alike ✨

Tired all day, but can’t switch off at night?

Most people I treat need magnesium supplementation, and my first choice is usually magnesium glycinate due to its excellent absorption and calming effect on the nervous system.
But when someone is feeling “wired but tired”, exhausted yet unable to switch off, with racing thoughts, stress, tension or disrupted sleep, I often choose a magnesium formula that also contains taurine.
Taurine is an amino acid that helps support a healthy stress response, promotes nervous system calm, and may help improve sleep quality. Combined with magnesium, it can provide an extra layer of support for those who struggle to truly relax and unwind.

Of course, supplements are only one piece of the puzzle, and addressing the underlying drivers of stress and poor sleep is always equally important.
