Dance Life Rhythms

Dance Life Rhythms Jackie and Stephen McInnes are dedicated to the 5 Rhythms Waves Practice, a Moving Meditation.

5Rhythms conscious dance was developed by Gabrielle Roth in Claifornia in the 1970s and 80s. It's free-style dance form that tracks the music ‘wave’ through the five rhythms Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical & Stillness. Dancers allow themselves to be inspired by each rhythm - to access movement, expression and feeling from within. Benefits include: being in a movement meditation, processing emoti

ons, release of deep stress and tension, and retuning our nervous system so as to become more alive and expressed in the world

Coming up in about two weeks… join us!

In the spirit of collaboration, I am feeling grateful for the team that is gathering for the upcoming workshop, Power and Privilege (June 19-21st). This weekend will be an enriching, potent experience

I would like to highlight a member of the team as some of you remember him from our New Year's Eve celebration in Tugun or may have connected with him in community here on the Gold Coast.

We are deeply honoured and privileged to welcome Glenn Barry to our team for Healing Waters: Power and Privilege on the Gold Coast.

Glenn brings a rare depth of knowledge, lived experience and academic enquiry to this work. As a Gamilaraay musician, researcher and facilitator, his practice is grounded in First Nations music, deep listening, wellbeing and relational connection.

As we navigate the sensitive and important themes of power and privilege, Glenn’s presence helps us hold this inquiry with greater integrity, humility and collaboration. His contribution invites us to listen more deeply, move more consciously, and remember that healing is not only personal, it is relational and communal.

Looking forward to moving together!
We finally found a house and have been so busy with packing.. it will feel so good to move some energy on the dance floor.
The journey of the waves practice is a potent map back to our bodies, back to our inner wisdom, our deep knowing.

Join us this week on the dance floor!
