While we often talk about the practical changes that come with the kids growing up, becoming more independent, and leaving home, we don't often talk about the emotional shift that comes with it.

When you've spent years focused on everyone else's needs, having space again can feel strange. Sometimes that space brings relief. Sometimes it brings grief. Sometimes it leaves you wondering who, and what, am I?

The image that keeps coming to mind is a garden between seasons.

After a harvest, the soil isn't expected to produce something new straight away. It needs time to rest and recover. It needs nourishment. Care. Space.

I think we're a bit like that too.

This stage of life isn't always about rushing off to find a new purpose or reinvent yourself overnight. Sometimes it's about slowing down long enough to hear yourself again.

That's a big part of the work I do in my kinesiology sessions.

Creating a space where you can exhale. Where your nervous system can settle. Where some of the emotional weight you've been carrying can finally be put down.

A space to reconnect with yourself as a woman, not just as a mum.

Let's share our journey.

This offer is for the woman who has spent so long surviving that they no longer know who they are underneath it all.

The woman who learned to stay strong, stay quiet, keep the peace, and carry everything for everyone else to "be safe".

Leaving a DV relationship does not mean your body instantly feels safe or secure.

So many women still feel exhausted, tense, emotionally flat, anxious, or disconnected from themselves long after the relationship has ended, because the body, and mind (the subconscious) remembers what it has lived through, even after the scars heal and the words are no longer heard.

The work I do focuses on how emotional stress and survival patterns are stored in the body, especially through the nervous system, hips, lower back, and core.

These sessions are about helping you reconnect with yourself again gently and safely. To reconnect with your needs and your sense of self, outside of survival mode.

I have opened a small number of one on one sessions at a reduced rate for women in this stage of rebuilding themselves.

Sessions are available in person in Ipswich or remotely, depending on what feels safest and most comfortable for you.

Comment "Rebuild" and I will send you the booking link.

How would you feel if you received a handwritten letter in your letterbox, from a woman in a similar life stage to you?

Why would you feel that way?

There comes a point when many women realise they can't keep living in survival mode.

They've spent years caring for children, partners, parents, workplaces, homes, and everyone else’s emotional needs while quietly abandoning themselves in the process.

Now the children are older or more independent.
Life looks different.

But instead of freedom, many women feel exhausted, disconnected, emotionally heavy, anxious, flat, or unsure who they even are outside of being needed by others.

This is the work I help women with.

Through one on one kinesiology sessions, I help women explore how emotional stress, unresolved experiences, limiting beliefs, and long term survival patterns are stored in the body.

We work gently with the nervous system to uncover what your body has been holding onto for years.

This can include:

💡Feeling constantly on edge or emotionally overwhelmed
💡Lower back, hip, shoulder, or deep body tension linked to stress
💡Self sabotaging and difficulty moving forward
💡People pleasing and overgiving
💡Feeling lost in midlife or after years of caregiving
💡Difficulty resting without guilt
💡Disconnection from yourself, your body, or your intuition
💡A sense that something needs to change, even if you can't fully explain it yet

My approach combines kinesiology, nervous system support, emotional stress release techniques, and intuitive guidance in a grounded and supportive space where you do not need to hold everything together.

This is not about “fixing” you.

It is about helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that got buried under years of responsibility, stress, grief, survival, and caregiving.

I am currently offering a small number of one on one sessions for women who are ready to start reconnecting with themselves again.

If this speaks to you, send me a message with the word “RECONNECT” and I’ll send you the details.

Sessions are currently discounted from $130 to $70.

There’s something deeply satisfying about growing your own food and turning it into something nourishing with your own hands.

Today I pickled some homegrown radishes from my garden.

Lately, I’ve been focusing more on slowing down and reconnecting to simple things that feel calming and healing for my nervous system.

Raising two children alone through abuse, financial hardship, mental health struggles, and ongoing stress meant my body spent more than twenty years in survival mode. Fight, flight, freeze, then getting up the next day and doing it all again because there was no other option.

I think many women in midlife understand this feeling more than they realise.

So many of us have spent decades caring for everyone else, pushing through exhaustion, carrying emotional weight silently, and living so disconnected from ourselves that we no longer know what feeling settled or safe even looks like.

That’s why these small moments matter.

Growing herbs.
Working in the garden.
Making food from scratch.
Learning to sit in quiet without needing to “earn” rest.

These little rituals may seem simple from the outside, but for a stressed nervous system they can be incredibly grounding.

I think a lot of women in midlife are craving this.

The slowing down.
Less rushing.
Less noise.
More connection to ourselves, our bodies, our homes, and the little things that make life feel meaningful again.

Maybe healing is not always found in big dramatic moments, or in massages, sound baths and rituals (yes these can help).

Maybe sometimes it begins with dirt on your hands, jars on the kitchen bench, and finally giving yourself permission to breathe.
