IWC is pleased to present the "Happy and Healthy" art exhibition. Children from Goondiwindi, Boggabilla and Toomelah Schools were invited to participate in an art competition to create the winning design for our 715 tshirts. More than 85 entries were received. A 715 health check supports patients across our communities. We extend our sincere thanks to all our entries for their outstanding contributions. The exhibition was included as part of "Lanescape", an annual festival held in Goondiwindi during October.
The exhibition will be open 9th Oct to 21st Nov at the Goondiwindi Library.

IWC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Diabetes Australia for supporting another valuable refresher session for our communities. We are especially grateful to Rhianna Potter for delivering such an informative session this morning. Thank you to Drugarm for welcoming us and allowing us to facilitate the session during Yarn Up today. We truly appreciate the opportunity to come together with community members to share important diabetes education and support meaningful conversations around health and well being.

I.W.C had the pleasure of hosting a Cultural Health Day with some our female Elders and participants from the Gadji Gadji Garden program at the Block in Boggabilla.

The main aim was to strengthen connections between I.W.C and other services. Raise awareness of our program, and our location at the Goondiwindi Medical Centre. Offer basic health checks - bsl checks, bp checks. And to follow up with 715s health checks. Support the social and emotional wellbeing of our community members, which is an important part of holistic health and community connections. Bringing culture and modern medicine together, for better health outcomes for our community members.






Thanks to Buddy Hippi for allowing a safe space for us to hold such a lovely event.

Our Telehealth Coordinator, Georgia Killen, does a tremendous job helping patients who have eligible appointments converted to telehealth. This can help save time, money and travel, while making it easier to attend specialist appointments located elsewhere.

Today, we had the privilege of coming together with our allied health colleagues from across our three communities for a professional development day!
It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our shared challenges and achievements, while keeping the wellbeing of our patients at the centre of every conversation.
Our patients remain our priority, and we are committed to supporting them with care, respect and compassion throughout their health journeys.

Walk for Mental Health Day Toomelah 3rd June 2026.

Yaama (hello) All!

The team at Indigenous Wellness Connect attended the "Walk for Mental Health Day" held at Toomelah 3rd June 2026. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with community members, including students from Toomelah Public School and Boggabilla Central School.
During the day we conducted height and weight checks, and students were invited to participate in our lucky dip activities.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity to utilise our new pergola and to highlight the services we provide in support of people across our three communities.

Thank you to the staff at the Toomelah Clinic for allowing us to host our Mothers Day Health Day today. We had an excellent turnout, and attendees enjoyed welcoming company, and health advice, including diabetes. We also extend our thanks to our special guest Denise Webb/French from Pius X Moree, Grace and Faith from Diabetes Australia and Family Support Moree.
