If Cory Roberts thought he could slip under the radar for his 100th parkrun this morning, he was mistaken! As our Run Director asked the field of ever eager parkrunners if there were any milestones… an eerie silence washed over the crowd.
Our author noted that Cory had snuck in and was covertly hiding amongst the masses with his head down, trying ever so hard to maintain his anonymity. It was not to be.
When Cory crossed the finish line, the jig was up, the cat was out of the bag! Our author was ready to pounce, determined to be the very first to congratulate him on this momentous milestone.
And what a résumé Cory brings with him: 92 parkruns here in Goulburn, eight different locations, and a cracking 39 volunteer credits, including 14 stints as our Run Director.
He’s also got a tidy PB of 19:12, set right here on home turf.
Congratulations, Cory and thank you for everything you contribute to our local parkrun. Even if you did try to sneak in today, we see you and all you do for us.
