As part of World Pharmacists Day last week, Lien from our Graceville store enjoyed spending some time out and about in the community.

She visited the Oxley Men's Shed and Arbor Sherwood to share helpful advice on medicine safety. It was a wonderful opportunity for her to discuss managing health safely and to connect with local residents over a lovely morning tea.

Our team loves helping the communities we serve through ongoing education, care and engagement.

Please enjoy these photos featuring a few special moments of our Lien with the wonderful gentlemen at the Oxley Men's Shed and the lovely residents of Arbor Sherwood!

World Pharmacists Day is an important moment to reflect on the theme, "Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures," and to say a genuine thank you to the team at Star Discount Chemist.

So much of what a pharmacist does happens quietly behind the scenes. While dispensing prescriptions is a big part of the day, our pharmacists are really there to listen, reassure, and offer accessible care when you need it most.

Here are a few ways our team works alongside you every day:

In-store health checks: Drop in for blood pressure monitoring, routine screenings, and selected vaccinations right in your local pharmacy.

Support for minor health concerns: If you are feeling unwell or unsure about a minor symptom, our team can provide clear, professional guidance or help direct you to a GP if further care is needed.

Simplifying your medicines: If managing multiple prescriptions feels overwhelming, sit down with our team. They can help organise your medicines into a straightforward routine that works for your life.

Practical health guidance: Small health choices add up over time. Our pharmacists offer steady, practical advice to help you look after your well-being for the long term.

Next time you drop by Star Discount Chemist, take a moment to say thank you to our team. We are always here to help. ✨
