Last night was a reminder that the smallest moments can sometimes have the biggest impact.

A lot of us don’t need a 90-minute treatment every time we’re overwhelmed.

Sometimes we just need someone who knows how to help us unwind so our nervous system can finally exhale.

This is my why for creating my Couples Embodiment Experience.

I don’t believe everyone needs to become a professional bodyworker.

But I think there’s something really special about being able to support the people you love when they need it most 💆‍♀️💓

The touch gap is actually something I became deeply aware of after becoming a mum.

Postpartum was a massive transition for my body and was one of the times in my life where I learnt this special lesson on touch…

During the thick of new motherhood, I realised that I had a deep need to feel supported. I needed to feel grounded and tightly held in my body as I felt like I was energetically giving so much to my little one.

Some days I craved loving strokes on my face.
Other days I wanted an elbow in my back.
And some days I wanted to be held by Gus and just feel him breathe next to me.

What became really clear was that my touch needs were changing constantly, and that I was wanting some co-regulation as a mumma!

I had a deep realisation that how a person wants to be touched truly depends on what they are moving through in that moment.

Stress.
Grief.
Parenthood.
Work.
Exhaustion.
Life transitions.

And it became clear to me what specific touch would speak to that part of them.

The thing most people assume is that what feels supportive one day might not feel supportive the next if we are in a different space.

Yet most couples never learn how to have these conversations, and definitely havn’t put time aside to explore touch in this supportive way.

Then when we ask for support, we assume our partner should just know.
And we all know how that turns out!

This is what I mean by the touch gap.

And that’s ultimately why I created these sessions 🌿

To help couples become curious about each other again.

To offer them the space, the tools and understanding to explore how touch actually lands for each other…
so they can build their own touch language together💗💗💗

So one day, with just touch….you can say
“I see you.”
“I understand what you need right now.”
“I’ve got you babe.”

What if date night actually helped your nervous systems unwind too? 🌿🧘‍♀️

One of the most beautiful things a couple shared with me after one of my Couples Embodiment Experiences was how much their time together changed afterwards.

Instead of defaulting to dinner or Netflix, they started creating intentional evenings where they slowed down and supported each other through touch.

They learnt how to massage each other in a way that didn’t leave their hands sore after 5 minutes 😅

But more importantly, in a way that actually helped the other person soften, relax, release tension and feel truly cared for.

They learnt to speak each other’s touch language and met their physical needs…which often leads to some other needs being met too! 😉😉😉

When you slow down enough to really listen to someone’s body, you can truly start hearing all the things words don’t always say.

The right touch has a beautiful way of acknowledging the stress, the tension and the exhaustion people often push through.

Learning how to support each other in a way that feels nourishing, grounding and deeply connective in the middle of busy life is what these sessions are all about!✨

If you or your partner would love a private session, I’m running my COUPLES EMBODIMENT EXPERIENCES again.

Feel free to reach out!

One of the biggest reasons I started offering longer sessions is because the body simply doesn’t unwind instantly.

Especially when fascia and a dysregulated nervous system is involved.

Our fascia is not just responsible for holding our bodies in place, it is deeply intertwined with our nervous system!

It responds to stress, emotion, posture, injury, overwhelm and the pace we’ve been living at for years.

So when someone comes in carrying months or even decades of tension, the body often needs more than quick pressure or a fast treatment to truly let go.

It needs time.

Time to land, to breathe differently, for the nervous system to realise it no longer has to brace so tightly…and time for TARGETED WORK that actually releases areas that have been holding so much.

This is why my 2.5hr Immersion sessions work the way they do.

We don’t rush the body into release.
We work with it slowly and intentionally, allowing the fascia to soften in its own timing rather than forcing change.

If you’re needing DEPTH in a session whilst also needing a place to completely soften, you can BOOK ONLINE via my link in bio

There’s always a reason the body is gripping so tightly.

Underneath it all, there’s often a belief that in order to feel safe, they’ve got to “do it all”, in order to hold it together.

Most people I’ve seen don’t realise how braced they’ve been until they finally slow down and receive a deep session that allows them to truly unwind and feel like themselves again.

While I am so comfortable with using deep pressure, I’ve learnt that the biggest shifts often happen when the nervous system no longer feels like it has to defend itself, where it can trust to let go of control.

When the body actually feels safe…the breath changes.
The fascia softens, and the guarding begins to unwind naturally.

I’m not disregarding the request for deep pressure, however in my experience brute force alone doesn’t work well.

What does work is touch that is infused with presence, pacing and INTENTIONAL DEPTH 🌿

When I meet someone who says “as deep as possible,” I listen a little differently because I know that underneath that request is a body that’s exhausted from holding so much for so long.

I also pay special attention to this type because this was absolutely me when I started in bodywork😜😅✌️

It’s actually been kind of crazy witnessing how many people have been coming in lately feeling this exact thing.

Like mentally they’ve processed huge events, but their body is still carrying everything that happened.

And I think a lot of us don’t realise how much we’ve actually been holding until we finally stop long enough to feel it.

So many of the new clients I’ve seen these last few weeks came in because they could feel the accumulation of life sitting in their body.
Stress. Grief. Confusion. Overwhelm. Burnout. Constant responsibility.

Not necessarily in an obvious emotional way either.
More through an energetic heaviness and tension that just never leaves.
The jaw that won’t soften.
The nervous system and body that can’t fully switch off.

There’s something really profound about realising your body isn’t just “tight”, and acknowledging that it’s been trying to protect you by holding onto these patterns for longer than it needed to.

When we finally create enough space for the body to catch up…
through breath, fascia work, intent and time…
it can feel like such a huge exhale, a real AHA MOMENT for your body.

Like your whole system finally gets the message that it doesn’t need to hold on so tightly anymore.

Full disclosure: I actually hesitated offering these 2.5hr sessions for so long, but these last few weeks have reminded me how deeply people are craving this kind of space right now.

Stress does not just impact you individually. It impacts your relationship.

When both nervous systems are running on empty, patience shortens and connection feels harder.

It is not about love disappearing. It is about regulation disappearing.

Inside my Couples Embodiment sessions, we explore how stress lives in the body and how intentional touch can create safety again.

It is simple. Practical. Grounded.

And sometimes learning how to slow down together changes everything.

If that feels relevant in your season right now, feel free to reach out.

This is one of the most common questions I get asked in clinic.

Someone comes in with tight shoulders or recurring neck pain and tells me they had a massage or chiro few weeks ago but it has already returned. It can feel frustrating and confusing when relief does not last.

Here is what I gently explain…

If we only treat the symptom, it will return.

Your fascia holds patterns intertwined with your nervous system’s held stress responses. If your body still feels under pressure, it will brace again even after strong pressure work.

Therefore deep tissue alone is rarely the full answer 🌿

Slow, responsive, nervous system aware bodywork creates longer lasting change because we are working with the whole system rather than fighting one tight area.

After more than a decade in practice, I have seen how powerful this shift can be.
If you are tired of temporary relief and ready to explore a deeper approach, my Deep Immersion sessions are designed exactly for that.

You are always welcome to message me if you would like to chat 🧡

What a journey April has been for me and my family…

This year has really been about leaning into the things that light a fire in my heart,
and keep me anchored in who I am.

The theme that keeps returning, that seems to set deeper in my bones …
.is connection.

I’m remembering what it actually feels like.
To firstly feel connected to myself, my family, my community and what I create in this life.

And gosh, is it work to truly look and acknowledge the parts of you that have deviated along the way! Especially in a world that has sped up to a pace that feels so unnatural for my body.

It takes true prioritising now and a new level of awareness to honour the boundaries of what feels right for me and my own nervous system if we are wanting to fully embody our aligned selves.

So with all the responsibilities and stories we had had running in our lives, we worked hard to make space for things that mattered to us, things that truly fill our cups.

Just quality time with people we love, heaps of nature, good food, adventures, community, cuddles, looking at the stars and singing by the fire.

How crazy that these simple things are what so many of us are craving.

Trying to find the words through all these emotions💔✨🥲
Who thought I’d miss this space so much!

This space has witnessed so many stories and offered so many people a haven to find their way back home to themselves.

With every session that I’ve offered, I feel like I’ve changed as a practitioner too.

Here’s to closing one chapter with gratitude, and stepping into the next with trust, excitement and openness. ✨💃🌸🥰
