As we count down to our Changing Lives on the Move fundraising event, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible businesses who are standing alongside Genovation and helping us bring this vision to life.

🩺 Investing in skills, safety and quality care at Genovation! ❤️

A group of our amazing carers, alongside our Director, recently attended First Aid and CPR training with Wave Learning... A big thank you to the team at Wave Learning for coming out and delivering this important training to our staff!

We’re proud to share that all Genovation staff are either currently completing or have already completed their First Aid and CPR training. It’s fantastic to see our team taking the initiative, being proactive and investing in the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe, confident and quality support to the people we care for.

At Genovation, we’re committed to continually building our team’s skills and knowledge to ensure our participants receive the best possible care.

Hi everyone, Giuliana here...
For years I've had a vision, an idea. A vision to give greater opportunity for our young adults to access the community. We are often challenged by the lack of accessible changing facilities available to us. So I wanted to create a mobile version. One that helps our amazing team of carers to support our awesome young adults to get out and about and experience life.
Who would have thought that an everyday normal part of life, like attending to personal care would be so hard? Well it is and we want to change that.

We have set up our first Go Fund Me page and are about to host our first fundraiser event.

Any donation or share is greatly appreciated. No effort is too small!

Another unforgettable day out for our YAEP crew — this time exploring beautiful Bowral!

Days like this are exactly what our program is about: real community access, new experiences, and moments of joy for young adults with complex support needs. None of it would be possible without our accessible Sprinter van — it's how we get our participants out into the world safely and with dignity.

But here's the reality we still face on every outing: even with the right vehicle, finding somewhere safe and dignified to attend to personal care while we're out and about remains a constant struggle. Public change facilities rarely have what our young adults actually need — an adult-sized change table and hoist just aren't standard. So every trip takes extra planning, and some get cut short simply because there's nowhere suitable nearby.

That's what our "Changing Lives on the Move" campaign is for — transforming our Sprinter into a purpose-built Mobile Personal Care & Community Access Vehicle, with its own private space, a fold-out adult-sized change bed and hoist, right on board. It means more days exactly like this one, without the stress of searching for somewhere to help someone with dignity.

💛 You can help make it happen. Join us at our inaugural Community Fundraising Dinner — Friday 16 October, 6–11pm, at The Lakeside Golf Club, Camden. An evening of dinner, bingo, raffles, silent auctions and live entertainment, all in support of independence and inclusion for young adults with disability in our community.

Take a look at the week that was in our Young Adult Enrichment Program! Our young adults got moving with some dancing, worked on communication together with the Hello Song and key word signing, built strength with a bit of weight training, played ball-catching games, and had a blast running and wheeling under our parachute as we lifted it up and let it fall. We also used our emotion cards to check in on how everyone was feeling.

It's creating a life filled with purpose and joy. That's what YAEP is all about, and this week showed it in every smile.

🚲 The YAEP had a great day out at the Campbelltown Bicycle Education Centre! 🚲

Our young adults got involved in bike and road safety clips, scenarios and then put it all into practice, both as pedestrians and bike riders.

Everyone got up, had a go and got involved. Some were doing things they hadn’t been able to do before, and it was so good to see the confidence, excitement and smiles throughout the day. 🙌

We made sure everyone could participate too, bringing our hoist along so our participants who require transfers could join in safely. And Mr Orlando absolutely LOVED his time on the trike! 🤩

A huge thank you to the team at the Bicycle Education Centre (Campbelltown City Council, NSW) for being so friendly, patient and engaging with our young adults. We really appreciate you making the day such a great experience.

Most importantly, our young adults were out there having fun, trying new things, building confidence and working towards their NDIS goals.

We love seeing our YAEP crew getting out there and showing us what they can do! 🧡🩵💜
