Alasana Hypnotherapy

Alasana Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapist and Yoga teacher. A Member Australian Hypnotherapist Association. These develop into beliefs and patterns that have the power to rule your life.

Alison is a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist and is a national Board Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association. Hypnotherapy allows us to have conversation with your unconscious mind, embedding suggestions that will allow you to think, act and feel differently to how you do now. Everything you have ever heard, everything that you have ever experienced, everything that has e

ver been said to you, all gets stored in your unconscious mind. Hypnotherapy will allow you to release patterns, or beliefs, that no longer serve you in your life. We can help you to release negative emotions, weight, anxiety and depression, become a non smoker, stop addictive behaviours and start to lead your ultimate life.

Lesson 2675 The wake up.

One morning you wake up and everything just makes sense.

The noise is gone. The overthinking has stopped. The confusion has lifted.

You know what you need to do.

Not because someone gave you the answer.

Not because all the risks disappeared.

But because, deep down, you already knew.

This is what I see so often in hypnotherapy.

People come looking for answers, but usually the answer is already there.

Buried beneath fear. Doubt. Old beliefs. Other people's expectations.

When those layers begin to fall away, something remarkable happens.

Clarity emerges.

The decision becomes obvious.

And with that decision comes peace.

Not because life has changed overnight.

But because you have stopped fighting what you know to be true.

Lesson 2674

There is a lot of talk these days about "doing the things you don't want to do." Well it is not just now days. My mother ALWAYS said "sometimes we have to do what we don't want to" but do we?

Push harder.
Get uncomfortable.
Force yourself through it.

Sometimes that advice is helpful.

But sometimes it isn't growth.

Sometimes it is self-abandonment.

Sometimes it is ignoring your body's wisdom, your intuition, your values, or your limits because someone else has convinced you that transformation only comes through suffering.

Real transformation is not abuse.

If someone is pushing you to do something that feels deeply wrong for you, shaming you when you say no, or telling you that your healing depends on crossing your own boundaries, that isn't empowerment.

It is control.

Growth can feel uncomfortable.

Healing can feel challenging.

Change can require courage.

But none of those things require you to betray yourself.

The question is not, "Can I force myself to do this?"

The question is, "Is this aligned with who I am becoming?"

The most powerful transformation often happens when you learn to trust yourself enough to know the difference.

Lesson 2673. How Hypnotherapy Helped Me

People often ask me how I became a hypnotherapist.

The truth is, I became a client first.

There was a time in my life when I felt stuck. No matter how hard I tried, I kept finding myself back in the same patterns.

Hypnotherapy helped me understand that lasting change doesn't come from willpower alone. It comes from working with the subconscious mind, where our habits, beliefs and behaviours are stored.

Through hypnotherapy I lost weight, stopped smoking, built confidence and changed the way I thought about myself.

Then, just over 14 months ago, hypnotherapy helped me complete what felt like the final piece of the puzzle.

I stopped drinking.

Not because I had hit rock bottom.

Not because anyone made me.

Simply because I wanted something different for myself.

That experience was so powerful that I went on to study hypnotherapy and have now spent years helping others create their own transformations.

Sometimes the thing that changes your life becomes the thing you're meant to share with the world.

Have you ever found yourself thinking:

"I know what I need to do, I just can't seem to do it."

You're not alone.

Over the last 9 years, as a Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Gymea, I have worked with people who are ready to make positive changes in their lives but feel stuck in old patterns, habits, thoughts or behaviours.

Hypnotherapy can help with:

• Anxiety and stress
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Alcohol reduction or cessation
• Smoking and va**ng
• Weight management and healthy habits
• Sleep issues
• Motivation and procrastination
• Limiting beliefs
• Public speaking and performance anxiety

Many people are surprised to learn that hypnotherapy is not about losing control. It's a gentle, relaxing process that helps you work with your subconscious mind to create lasting change.

If you've been thinking about making a change but aren't sure where to start, I'd be happy to have a chat.

Lesson 2672. The elephants tail.

I was watching a Rom Com last night, office romance, and one of the characters talked about the fable/metaphor of the elephant's tail.

So I looked it up.

Yep pretty much sums it up.

Sometimes what we see is only the tail of the elephant.

A difficult conversation. A complaint. A mistake. A sudden change.

What if that is not the problem at all?

What if it is simply the visible part of something much bigger happening beneath the surface?

It is easy to react to the tail. To focus on the symptom, the behaviour, or the event in front of us. But lasting change comes when we become curious enough to look at the whole elephant.

The person who is angry may be carrying fear. The person who withdraws may be carrying hurt. The habit we want to change may be protecting us from something deeper. The thing that is not working may be forcing us to make a hard decision.

In hypnotherapy and in life, the real work often begins when we stop focusing on the tail and start exploring what lies underneath.

Before reacting, pause and ask yourself:

"Am I seeing the whole elephant, or just the tail?"

Lesson 2671.

The nightmare took me back to a room from 8 years ago.

A room I never want to visit again. With people I never want to see again.

I woke up shaken, but also grateful.

Sometimes our minds revisit old chapters, not to punish us, but to remind us how far we've come.

That room was once my reality. Today, it is simply part of my story.

The lesson? Never underestimate your growth. The life you have now may be the very thing a past version of you dreamed of.

Lesson 2670 The crazy roundabout

Ever feel like you're stuck on the crazy roundabout of life?

Work, bills, responsibilities, repeat.

Sometimes getting off isn't an option, but slowing down is. A few deep breaths, a short walk, a moment of stillness, small things can make a big difference.

When life feels overwhelming, look for ways to create recovery, not escape.

Lesson 2679 It's that time of the year again.

The mammogram.
The breast ultrasound.
The chest CT.
The DEXA scan for bone density.

None of these appointments are particularly exciting and, if I'm honest, I would rather be doing almost anything else.

But I book them anyway.

Not because there is something wrong.

Not because I am unwell.

I do them as a preventative measure.

For many years I spent my life reacting to problems once they appeared. Now I try to take a different approach. I would rather know. I would rather check. I would rather give myself the best opportunity to stay healthy and well.

Prevention isn't always glamorous. It often looks like appointments, forms, waiting rooms and scans. It looks like taking responsibility for your future self.

As we get older, looking after our health becomes less about fixing things and more about maintaining what we have.

These things do not take much time but the information they provide can be invaluable.

Sometimes self-care looks like booking the appointments you've been putting off.

Your future self will thank you.

Lesson 2678, The Past Cannot Be Changed. But It Does Not Have to Come With You.

We all carry things we probably should have put down a long time ago.

An old hurt. A conversation that went wrong. A version of ourselves we are still apologising for. We replay it, we reshape it, we wonder
what would have happened if just one thing had been different.

And yet the past stays exactly the same no matter how many times we visit it.

Letting go is not about pretending something did not happen. It is not about excusing it or forgetting it. It is about choosing not to let
something that is already over keep making decisions in your present. Today. Here. Now.

You are allowed to leave it there.

So if you are still carrying something heavy from a long time ago, I want you to know that putting it down does not mean you are weak, or that it
did not matter. It means you are ready to stop paying for something with your future that could be amazing.

You deserve that freedom.
