I could say 'support local theatre' but actually, support your wellbeing by attending. Theatre and the arts are an essential contributor for community wellbeing. PLUS you get to help keep the scene alive here in wonderful Gympie!
🙌The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time — a powerful, moving and visually engaging production that celebrates community, connection, and the extraordinary talents emerging in Gympie.
💓Adapted from Mark Haddon’s bestselling novel - follow Christopher Boone, a neurodivergent teenager, as he sets out to solve the mystery of a neighbour’s dead dog. Along the way, the play explores family, trust, resilience, and the power of community support.
💯Director Riley Hotham, “There are very few opportunities for creative people in regional towns to work with professional directors and experience the richness of an industry-level rehearsal room."
“This project is about building the capacity of local actors, giving them genuine ensemble experience, and supporting them with professional lighting, sound and set design.”
💫Mentor Director & Acting Coach Dr Sharon Hogan has been working with a dedicated intergenerational cast made up entirely of local performers who have collectively devoted more than 80 hours of rehearsal to bring this challenging and deeply human story to life.
