“What makes Bridging Abilities different?”
We get asked this a lot… and honestly, it’s days like today that give us the answer.
At Bridging Abilities, our management team aren’t just people sitting behind a screen, answering emails and making rosters.
We jump in. 🙌🏼
Staff have a sick child? We’ve got you.
Your car has broken down? We’ve got you.
You need a day off? We’ve got you.
The team needs an extra set of hands? We’ve got you.
But it doesn’t stop with our staff — we do the same for our participants. 💙
This photo is shared with consent and features one of our beautiful SIL participants.
Today, she had an important appointment and was feeling ALL the things — nervous, overwhelmed and genuinely needing some extra support and reassurance.
She has an incredible team of support workers around her, but today our Service Manager, Tamara, jumped out onto the floor herself for an 8-hour shift… ON A MONDAY! 😜
Why?
Because sometimes being a good manager means putting down the laptop, stepping away from the emails and being there.
Being there to provide reassurance.
Being there to advocate.
Being there to support.
Being there to make sure our participants feel heard, safe and supported to achieve the outcome they deserve.
And most importantly — being there when it matters.
This is what makes Bridging Abilities different.
We’re not just a name, a phone number or people behind a screen.
We’re a team that believes in personalised support, genuine relationships and being present — for our participants AND our staff.
Because at the end of the day, disability support is about people.
