The world tells women to push through perimenopause years.Keep doing, keep coping and keep carrying everyone else.

But perimenopause often asks something entirely different of us.

Our bodies, minds and souls want us to slow down, listen inward, reconnect with our body and return to rhythm instead of relentless pressure.

This is one of the reasons I feel so called back to celebrating the sabbats and seasonal ways.

When women gather to honour the seasons, the body often remembers something ancient. The nervous system softens, the pressure to constantly perform eases for a moment and we reconnect with nature’s rhythms instead of fighting against them.

And Winter Solstice especially carries medicine for exhausted women.

The darkest day of the year reminds us that rest is not weakness. Nature herself is slower now. Bare trees are not failing, they are resting. The earth is slowing down and restoring its energy throughout the colder months ready to bloom strong and resilient again in Spring.

This Winter Solstice Circle will be a gentle afternoon of fire, warmth, ritual, meditation, sound healing, connection, and women gathering together in a way that feels deeply nourishing for the nervous system and soul.

Are you feeling brain fog, emotionally reactive, exhausted but unable to properly rest, or strangely disconnected from yourself lately?

Winter has a way of revealing depletion we’ve been pushing past for months.

Here are 5 signs your body may be asking for deep rest this winter:

❄️ Brain fog
You can’t think clearly, forget simple things, or feel mentally “muddy.”

❄️ Emotional reactivity
Small things suddenly feel overwhelming. Tears, frustration, anxiety, or irritability rise quickly because your nervous system is overloaded.

❄️ Disrupted sleep
You’re tired all the time but still waking through the night, lying awake, or not feeling restored after sleep.

❄️ Low motivation
Tasks that once felt manageable now feel heavy. Even things you enjoy require effort.

❄️ Disconnection
You feel numb, flat, withdrawn, or like you’ve lost connection to yourself, your joy, or the people around you.

These are not character flaws.
They are often signs your body and nervous system are asking for restoration, nourishment, slowness, and support.

Winter is not nature’s season of productivity.
It is a season of conservation, reflection, repair, and quiet rebuilding.

This is why I create spaces for women to pause, reconnect, and be supported through naturopathic care, women’s circles, nervous system support, and restorative healing sessions.

You do not have to keep pushing through exhaustion alone xx

Have you ever noticed how time seems to slow when you're knitting, stitching, gardening, drawing, or creating?

There is actually science behind this. When we engage our hands in repetitive, rhythmic activities, the nervous system often begins to shift out of "doing mode" and into a calmer, more regulated state.

And then creativity isn't about producing something beautiful, it's about creating enough stillness to hear yourself again 🩷

The Nourished Woman Circle is coming to two locations this June and I would love to see you there.

There is a quiet longing many women carry. To slow down, to be heard and to feel like themselves again.

The Nourished Woman Circle is a space where you can exhale.

It's not a workshop or a lecture. It's a safe, held space where you don't have to have it all together. Where your body, your emotions, and your energy are all welcome exactly as they are.

Over two hours, we'll move through meditation, sound healing, gentle ritual, and meaningful conversation. You'll leave feeling more grounded, more nourished, and more connected to yourself and to the women around you.

This circle is for you if you've been feeling tired, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you've simply lost the thread back to yourself.

No experience needed. Just come as you are.

🌿 Maryborough - Satruday 20 June, 1–3pm - $44
🌿 Castlemaine - Saturday 27 June, 1–3pm - $44

Spots are limited to keep the space intimate. Link in bio to book yours - or send me a DM and I'll get you the details xx

You're exhausted, but can't sleep. ✔️

You're overwhelmed by things that never used to bother you. ✔️

You've gained weight despite doing all the "right" things. ✔️

You walk into a room and forget why you're there. ✔️

Your nervous system is not a problem to fix.

It's a system that needs nurturing. And for a lot of women, especially those who are exhausted, wired but tired, emotionally stretched, or just can't seem to fully switch off, what's happening underneath isn't laziness or weakness. It's a stress response that has been switched on for so long, it forgot how to switch off.

Here's what's actually going on in the body:

When we experience ongoing stress, emotional, physical, relational, seasonal, our adrenal glands pump out cortisol, our primary stress hormone. In the short term, this is helpful. It keeps us sharp, responsive, moving.

But when the demand never lets up? Cortisol stays elevated.

Over time this disrupts sleep, suppresses immunity, throws off other hormones, and leaves women feeling simultaneously exhausted and unable to rest. This is what people often call adrenal fatigue and it is incredibly common in women who are carrying a lot.

From a naturopathic perspective, the answer isn't just a supplement or a sleep hack. It's about removing the chronic stressors where possible, nourishing the body with what it actually needs, and beginning to live in rhythm with the seasons rather than against them and by that I mean Earths seasons and our own monthy cyclical seasons and our life seasons.

In Winter, nature asks us to slow down, conserve, and restore. Our bodies are asking the same thing. When we honour that, through rest, warmth, nourishing food, and nervous system practices like meditation, breathwork, and sound healing, we are not being unproductive. We are doing some of the most important health work there is.

This is the foundation of everything I do with the women I work with. And it's why the Nourished Woman Circle exists because sometimes you need more than information.

You need a space that actually lets your nervous system exhale.

If this resonates, save it and share it with a woman who needs to hear it

What does nourishment look like for you this Winter?

Not what the wellness world says it should be. Not a perfect morning routine or an elaborate ritual. Just what actually helps you feel like yourself again?

For me, lately it's been a spray of flower essences or breathing in some essential oil.
And in the evenings I have been massaging my feet with a beautiful essential oil balm I was gifted from a friend 💜 It does something to my nervous system that no supplement has ever quite replicated. It's the signal that I am allowed to slow down and either start the day balanced and regulated or end the evening calm and relaxed.

Some mornings it's taking a minute to watch the weather out the window. Some evenings it's grabbing a creative project.

None of it is impressive. All of it is real.

I think about this a lot with the women I work with, how often we are waiting for nourishment to look a certain way before we let ourselves have it? Waiting until we have an hour, or the right candle, or the energy to do it properly.

But your body doesn't need it to be perfect. It just needs it to be real.

So tell me in the comments below, finish this sentence:
This winter, nourishment looks like...

I'll be reading every single one

Winter asks something different of us. Summer is a time for late sunny nights on the verandah eating salads and drinking cool, refreshing drinks.

Winter is an invitation to nourish our body, mind and soul.

My digestive system is never keen on colder foods bu this is the time of year I naturally begin craving warming foods, soups and casseroles in the slow cooker, herbal teas, grounding root vegetables, warming spices, slower mornings, and meals that feel comforting to the nervous system as much as the body.

In Chinese medicine and many traditional cultures, Winter is seen as a season to conserve energy and build warmth within the body. This becomes especially important for women in the perimenopause years who are already experiencing depletion, nervous system overload, fatigue, anxiety, digestive changes, and burnout.

One of my favourite winter wellness rituals is making a simple turmeric, ginger & coconut soup packed with anti-inflammatory spices, warming ingredients, and nourishment.

Winter Wellness Soup

Ingredients:
1 onion diced
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 tsp turmeric
1 carrot chopped
1 sweet potato chopped
4 cups bone broth
1 tin coconut milk
Salt & pepper
Optional: chilli flakes, coriander, lime juice

Method:
Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and turmeric in olive oil until fragrant. Add vegetables and bone broth and simmer until soft. Blend until smooth then stir through coconut milk. Serve warm with fresh herbs or sourdough.
Optional - you can add lentils or chickpeas for some protein and extra nutrition

I love this because its easy to make, grounding with the root vegetables and nourishing for our body, mind and soul 💜

Sometimes wellness in winter is less about detoxing and more about deeply supporting the body through warmth, nourishment, and rest xx

Welcome to the first day of Winter. 🖤

I always feel something shift on this day. Not just in the air, though yes, there is that particular cold that blows up from the creek. Something shifts internally too.

In nature, Winter is the time of drawing down. The trees have let go. The earth is resting beneath the surface, doing invisible work that will only show itself in Spring. Nothing is wasted. Nothing is failing. Everything is exactly where it needs to be.

And yet we live in a culture that asks us to maintain summer-pace all year long. To keep producing, performing, showing up at full brightness, regardless of the season outside our window or the season within our bodies.

Winter invites a different way.

More warmth and crackling fires.
More stillness.
Earlier evenings.
Nourishing food that asks you to slow down and actually cook it.
Time with people who fill you rather than drain you.
Permission to say no to the things that aren't yours to carry.

From a naturopathic perspective this isn't indulgence, it's medicine. The nervous system heals in stillness. The adrenals recover in rest. The immune system strengthens when we stop pushing against our own biology.

So this Winter, I want to ask you something:
What if you actually let yourself have this season?

Not the performing-rest version. Not the collapsed-on-the-couch-from-burnout version. The real, intentional, chosen kind where you slow down because you know your body is worth tending to.

That's what this season is for. That's what you're for.

Welcome to Winter. You made it here!!

What is winter asking of you this year? Tell me below.

For me its more creativity like crochet or slow stitching as I sit by the fire 💜

Something has been quietly taking shape behind the scenes and I'm excited!!

I don't want to say too much yet because it's not quite ready to be born into the world. But I've been working on something and I feel like Winter is exactly the right season to begin whispering about it.

Here's what I can tell you.

It's for the woman who has done the workshops, bought the supplements, read the books and still feels like she keeps arriving back at the beginning. Like the nourishment doesn't quite stick because life fills the space again too quickly.

It's for the woman who doesn't just want a one-off experience. She wants to be held across time. Supported through the shifting of seasons, in nature and in herself.

It follows the rhythm of the earth. It weaves together naturopathic wisdom, spiritual practice, and the kind of community that actually changes you. And it goes somewhere. Month by month, season by season, deeper into who you actually are beneath the exhaustion and the roles and the endless doing.

I've been dreaming about this for a long time.

Winter felt like the right time to plant the seed.

If something in you just said yes, save this post and stay close. I'll be sharing more very soon.

And if you want to be the first to know when doors open, send me a DM with the word SEASONS and I'll make sure you hear about it first xx
