In Zen philosophy, Shoshin means “Beginner’s Mind.”

It is the ability to approach life with openness, curiosity, and less attachment to certainty.

As adults, we can become conditioned to believe we should already know the answers, stay in control, or protect ourselves from discomfort.

Yet often, growth begins when we are willing to let go of our assumptions and allow ourselves to learn again.

A beginner’s mind can help us:
