🌟 Week One of our Independent Living Program! 🌟

What a fantastic first week! This week’s group kept busy with a great mix of activities, outings and work experience, along with plenty of opportunities to build and practise important independent living skills. From activity planning and budgeting to grocery shopping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning and washing, everyone got involved — all while enjoying plenty of laughs and time with great friends. The homemade ice cream was definitely a highlight 🍦, along with the delicious meals everyone helped plan, prepare and cook throughout the week!

A fun and productive week of learning, growing, building confidence and enjoying greater independence. 🙌

The Kickstart group had a great day in Oakleigh today, soaking up the European influence of the suburb, particularly the Greek restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The sweet treats in the cafes and bakeries looked mouth-wateringly delicious 😋

Our craft camp group recently headed to the Queen Victoria Market to check out their craft stalls, and explored the city looking for graffiti art, followed by a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant and a stroll along Southbank to see all the cool lights!
