Leslie Spitz - Registered Psychologist
Leslie is an experienced registered psychologist who is nearing completion of a Master of Clinical Psychology. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). With over seven years of dedicated experience, Leslie has worked with adults, adolescents, and children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Leslie specializes in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, trauma, grief, and couples therapy. She is particularly drawn to interpersonal and attachment-focused approaches, believing they offer valuable support for clients’ personal growth and healing. In addition, Leslie is skilled in conducting diagnostic assessments, handling Workers’ Compensation claims, forensic evaluations, and report writing.
Known for her nurturing, non-judgmental, and genuine approach, Leslie deeply cares about her clients and prioritizes a collaborative therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. As a later graduate, she brings up-to-date knowledge in neuroscience and mindfulness techniques that promote brain integration, self-regulation, and trauma recovery.
