Two Flowers, One Heart 🌺💜

On my arm bloom two flowers — symbols of the two souls who changed my life forever.

For my daughter: a poinsettia, vibrant and bold. Known for symbolizing love, hope, and inner strength, it mirrors her fiery spirit and the warmth she brings into every space she enters — even in life’s coldest seasons.

For my son: an aster, delicate and star-like. It represents wisdom, faith, and enduring love — just like the quiet depth of his heart, his thoughtful nature, and the steady light he brings to mine.

Together, they’re a permanent reminder of the beauty, strength, and unconditional love I carry with me every day.

Why resistance training, you ask? Let’s break it down:

1️⃣ Osteopenia: This condition involves low bone density, often considered a precursor to osteoporosis. Resistance training helps strengthen bones, reducing the risk of fractures.
2️⃣ Osteoporosis: With aging, bones become weak and brittle, increasing the risk of fractures. Lifting weights stimulates bone growth, combating this condition.
3️⃣ Sarcopenia: This is age-related muscle loss, leading to weakness and frailty. Resistance training helps build and maintain muscle mass, keeping you strong and active.

NEW week, NEW goals, NEW treats!
VEGAN Chocolate & Pistachio Peanut Butter Slice
BASE
1 cup X walnuts
1 cup X dessicated coconut
2 TBSP X peanut butter
2 TBS X maple syrup
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt

FILLING
1 cup X peanut butter
2 or 3 TBS X maple syrup
2 TBS X coconut butter/oil (I'll include a photo of the exact one I used)
2 TBS X Coco-Nut Milk (only because I ran out of coconut cream)
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
TOPPING
100g X plain 70% cocoa dark chocolate
1/2 cup X Cacao butter
Whole Pistachio nuts roughly crushed
METHOD:
1. Line a rectangle slice pan with baking paper overlapping the sides (this makes it easier to lift out)
2. Blitz BASE ingredients until it resembles a paste & press into you pan smoothing it out evenly. Pop it into the fridge or freezer.
3. Blitz FILLING ingredients (it will still appear crumbly but don't worry it can still be molded). Press this mixture smoothly on to the BASE and return to the fridge or freezer.
4. Mix cacao butter with roughly chopped (broken)chocolate & place in a glass or stainless steel bowl. Place the bowl on top of saucepan of simmering hot water. Slowly melt stirring gently until smooth & glossy.
5. Allow chocolate mixture to cool down before adding a handful of crushed pistachio nuts.
6. Smooth chocolate over FILLING and sprinkle with more crushed nuts.
7. Refrigerate till set, slice then EAT! YUMMO 😍😋
