🌻 WEEKLY WRAP-UP AT PROSPECT HILL 🌻

Spring has definitely arrived, and judging by this week, everyone has been making the most of it! ☀️💚

There’s been plenty of time spent outdoors, with Nathan BEAN very happy with his garden 🫘😂 while Sue has had the gardening gloves on getting some planting done. When she wasn’t gardening, she was soaking up the beautiful spring weather with her trusty coffee in hand ☕️🌸

The steps have been adding up too! Meggy has been out getting hers in, and Steve has been doing the same with a nice walk. 👟

There’s also been plenty of getting out and about. Nathan had a look around Anaconda at all the camping gear before another adventure took him out to the breakwall at Stockton 🌊 — and we have to say, LOVE the shirt, Nathan! 😂 Bill enjoyed a Bunnings trip (who doesn’t?! 🔨), while up in Townsville, Bobby enjoyed a morning out with one of our newest team members. ☀️

Back in the kitchen, Aimee has been busy again, this time whipping up some jelly 🍓, while Julie has been showing off her creative side with some fantastic arts and crafts. 🎨

And apparently it’s birthday season at Prospect Hill! 🎉 Sakura turned 22 this week and Conway celebrated the big 25! 🥳🎂 A very Happy Birthday to you both! Now the important question... where are our pieces of cake?! 😂🍰

Finally, a special little shout-out to our support worker Rhonnie, whose baby chickens are starting to hatch! 🐣🐥 We’re already looking forward to the fresh eggs... although this did lead Tina to ask the question nobody has managed to settle:

What DID come first... the chicken or the egg?! 🐔🥚😂

Another busy week full of plenty of smiles, adventures and everyday moments. 💚🧡

We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone gets up to at Prospect Hill next week! 👀☀️

📚✨ BOOK WEEK… PROSPECT HILL STYLE! ✨📚

Who said Book Week was just for the kids?! 😂🙋‍♀️

The costumes came out, the food disappeared VERY quickly, there were plenty of laughs and, let’s just say… some people got VERY committed to their characters! 👏

What we loved most though? Seeing everyone together, having a laugh, joining in and simply enjoying the day. 🥰

These are the moments we love at Prospect Hill — bringing our participants and team together, having a bit of fun, creating memories and making sure there’s always plenty of smiles along the way. 🧡💚

A massive thank you to everyone who dressed up, helped behind the scenes, joined in the fun and made our Book Week party such a beautiful day!

We think the photos speak for themselves… 📸

Now the important question… what are we dressing up as next?! 👀🤣

🏡🧡 LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO CALL HOME? 💙🏡

Finding the right SIL home is about so much more than finding an available room.

It’s about finding somewhere you can feel comfortable, be yourself, build connections and genuinely feel at home. ✨

Here at Prospect Hill, we currently have some wonderful Supported Independent Living (SIL) vacancies across the Hunter region and we’d love to help find the right people to join our homes.

🏡 MEDOWIE – 2 x Male Vacancies
A modern, spacious home in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of room to enjoy your own space, your own routine and time together.

🌿 RAYMOND TERRACE – 1 x Male & 1 x Female Vacancy
Love a little more space and a quieter lifestyle? This beautiful rural property offers a relaxed setting with plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors.

🌸 SINGLETON – 1 x Female Vacancy
A warm and welcoming home currently shared by two ladies aged 22 and 35, looking for the right housemate to join them.

At Prospect Hill, we don’t believe in simply filling vacancies.

We want to find the right fit — because the people you live with, the support around you and feeling comfortable in your own home really matter. 🏡❤️

If you’re a participant looking for your next home, a family member exploring options, or a Support Coordinator searching for the right match, we’d love to hear from you!

🌿Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap Up🌿

It’s been another great week at Prospect Hill, with everyone making the most of the sunshine, getting out and about, spending time on their favourite hobbies and, judging by some of the photos, eating VERY well! 💚🧡

There was plenty happening around the homes, with Dennis practising his shots on his sticky golf game, while Conway settled in for a fun afternoon on the PlayStation. Alan and Thom took things at a slightly slower pace, enjoying a quiet afternoon together while Thom worked on one of his much-loved puzzles, and Julie enjoyed some relaxing time colouring.

The sunshine was definitely calling this week too! ☀️ Glynnis headed out for a walk, Sean soaked up the rays at Stockton Beach, and Terri-Ann found a pretty perfect spot by the water to enjoy some fish and chips. Guy was also out enjoying the scenery – give him a dirt road surrounded by nature and he’s a happy man!

Georgia and Kahlee headed out for some bowling fun, while Nathan had one of those days where he managed to fit EVERYTHING in – putt-putt, Timezone, a visit to the RSPCA to check out the cute little kitty cats, followed by a nice walk when he got home. And when he wasn’t out adventuring, he was busy at home tending to his garden. Nathan has BEAN watering away and was very happy to finally see his first little veggie growing! 🌱

There was also plenty happening in the kitchen this week. Julie swapped the colouring pencils for the baking tins and made a delicious-looking choccy cake.

Did someone say banana bread… and we ALL know whose favourite that is! 🍌😂

But we think Bobby might take out the award for busiest man of the week! He started off watering the garden, then helped wash the bus, and before we knew it, he was in the kitchen peeling potatoes and cooking lamb shanks. Bobby, you really should have told us what time dinner was – we would have been there! 😂

And finally… who is this clean and tidy man?! Dave is almost unrecognisable after a freshen-up! Looking very sharp, Dave! 😎

From beach days and bowling to gardening, gaming, baking and cooking up a storm, it’s been another week full of the everyday moments that make us smile 🌿

🌿Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap Up 🌿

Jack had some furry visitors this week… but we’re still trying to figure out one very important question — was that a lion hanging from its tail on the clothesline? 🦁😂

The two gentlemen of leisure enjoyed a well-earned coffee catch-up at the North Shore Tavern ☕, while the gang got together to enjoy a delicious dinner and some great company. 🍽️

John was all smiles after his carer lovingly prepared him a kangaroo stew — and judging by the thumbs up, it was definitely a winner! 👏🦘

Because who doesn’t love a good pub feed… and then the perfect finishing touch — a cheeky Macca’s ice cream! 🍦 Jacko certainly knows how to end a meal on a high note!

Nathan’s veggie garden is coming along beautifully 🌱, and speaking of gardens, Guy was absolutely in his element getting his hands dirty and enjoying some outdoor time.

The boys from Bayswater were on grocery duty this week and were more than happy to help put everything away… naturally, we had to have a sneaky peek at what snackies made the shopping list! 👀🍪

Aime was busy in the kitchen whipping up a cracker of a dinner — chicken schnitzel and potato bake. We’re just wondering… what time should we all arrive for dinner? 🤤

Nathan headed out to check out a glider at Stockton, Alan made sure he stayed hydrated with a refreshing cordial, and everyone continued making the most of their week.

From gardening and cooking to coffee dates, outings and a few delicious treats — it’s the little moments that make the biggest memories. 💙

Another fantastic week full of smiles, independence and plenty of good times! 😊

🌿Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap Up 🌿

There have been plenty of smiles, adventures and special moments shared across our homes this week.

Dave had a wonderful day enjoying a walk along the river before treating himself to a delicious hamburger for lunch, and even picked up a new comic on the way home. Bobby enjoyed catching up on the previous night's NRL action with one of our new support workers, while Sakura made the most of the beautiful weather with walks, a visit to the park, spotting some sheep along the way, and of course, a ride down the slide!

We also had a very special celebration this week as Aimie celebrated her birthday. Glynis helped make pancakes for breakfast before everyone headed out for a delicious pub dinner with the Thornton ladies. It certainly looked like a birthday filled with lots of laughter and great company.

Our participants have also been busy showing off their cooking skills. The Bayswater boys cooked up a storm, with John baking a delicious brownie (including a cheeky lick of the spoon!) while Matt created a beautiful pavlova. Tom got creative at Life Skills and built an impressive model car, while Alan and Thom enjoyed spending time together completing a puzzle. Julie had fun playing Connect 4, Dennis spent time watching his favourite mini car racing videos, and we're fairly certain Glynis has confirmed her title as Prospect Hill's biggest banana bread fan! 🍌

Nathan packed a lot into one day, checking out trucks, ride-on mowers, excavators and caravans before finishing off the adventure with some well-earned chicken and chips for lunch. Meanwhile, Sue, Megan and Steve are continuing to settle into their new home, with Megan happily posing for a few photos. Michala and Georgia also enjoyed getting out for a lovely walk together.

It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to support people to enjoy the things they love, try new experiences and create meaningful connections every day. A huge thank you to our incredible support workers who make these moments possible. We can't wait to see what next week brings! 🌿
