Last week, we shared the exciting news that Home Care Assistance South East Melbourne is now Mirawell Home Supports.

This week, we want to focus on what matters most: while our name, logo and colours may change - the things our clients value and rely on every day do not.

Our rebrand reflects our commitment to providing exceptional care, meaningful relationships, and personalised support.

Happy Friday!

We have some exciting news to share with you all - Home Care Assistance is now Mirawell Home Supports.

It's a new name, but it's the same team, the same carers and the same friendly faces and voices that you know. Your visits, support workers and care plans all stay exactly the same!

We chose a name that reflects what we believe in: Helping people, live well at home.

Over the coming weeks we'll share a bit more about what this means.

This week, we join Australians in raising awareness and encouraging conversations about dementia.

Almost half a million Australians are currently living with dementia, and more than 1.7 million people are involved in their care.

This year's message is simple: it's time to talk about dementia. Open conversations help reduce stigma, improve understanding, and connect people with support sooner.

A few ways you can show support:
💙 Spend time with someone living with dementia
💙 Listen with patience and kindness
💙 Learn more about dementia and share what you've learned

No one should face dementia alone.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, which means fundraising is critical! This day helps raise money for cancer research, programs and support services.

Creative ways to get involved could be hosting a small morning tea at home, sharing a cuppa with friends or your support worker, attending a local community event!

It’s also a good time to check in on someone going through a tough time. A visit or phone call can mean so much.
