A visit to a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic means you don’t have to wait at the emergency department. It’s for injuries or illnesses that need treatment the same day but are not life-threatening.

Have you heard about the Aged Care On-Site Pharmacist Program?

The program works by placing a credentialled pharmacist within a residential aged care home to work on-site as part of the care team, helping to support safer and more person-centred medication use for residents.

One participating facility recently shared:
“The ACOP Pharmacist has enabled us to work more efficiently and make timely, beneficial adjustments to residents’ medications.”

Bulk billing is growing, making GP visits more affordable for Australians.

GP services that are often bulk billed include:
• Consultations
• GP chronic condition management plans
• Mental health treatment plans
• Health assessments.

Check with your local clinic if they’re part of the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program, or ask
whether you’ll be bulk billed and if any out-of-pocket costs apply.

If you don’t need urgent care, the clinic will refer you back to your local GP for routine care.

The Australian Government has expanded eligibility for Medicare Benefits Schedule bulk
