🚩 Red flags parents can sometimes miss when their child is unwell 🚩
• Food intake is often a big focus for parents - but hydration is the priority. When kids are sick, fluids matter most, especially fluids with a little sugar content. If your child is drinking less than 50% of their usual fluid intake, this can be a major red flag for dehydration.
• Testicular pain is NEVER something to “wait and see.” Any pain in the te**is needs urgent medical assessment to rule out testicular torsion - even if they otherwise seem okay.
• Fever in babies under 3 months old is a huge red flag and requires prompt medical assessment.
Trust your instincts. If something feels off with your child, seek medical advice early 💛
