🌟Congratulations to Pam Macreadie for all her years of service! Happy retirement to you Pam.

Farewell Pam!

We are saying goodbye to long-serving MLHD staff member, Pam Macreadie.

Pam will be a familiar face to many families as she has conducted SWISH hearing tests on newborns at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and across the District for 19 years.

Having started her career working in the kitchen and on domestic duties and as an Assistant In Nursing at Henty MPS, Pam has worked for MLHD for 35 years.

Although she’s looking forward to the next stage of her life, Pam says she will miss working with newborns and their families and her fellow staff members.

🧠💙 Men’s Health Week 💙🧠

This Men’s Health Week, we’re shining a light on men’s mental health and the importance of speaking up and seeking support.

Too often, men feel the pressure to stay silent or “tough it out” when it comes to their wellbeing — but the truth is, there’s real strength in reaching out.

At Wagga Wagga Medicare Mental Health Centre, we offer a safe, confidential and judgment-free space for men of all ages to talk, be heard, and access professional mental health support.
Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or just not feeling quite yourself — you don’t have to go through it alone.

📍 Units 1-4, 235 -241 Baylis Street, Wagga Wagga

🌐 No GP referral needed

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health. This week — and every week — we’re here for you. 💬👣

🛫Carers Group Takes Off!

The Henty Carers Support Group is up and running with a long list of topics to cover at upcoming meetings.
The group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 2pm at the Henty Community Centre (enter via the door on Ivor Street) for a chat, a cuppa and to cover topics such as carer fatigue, support services and how to make the job easier.

Meetings will be held on:
· June 3
· July 1
· August 5

A carer is someone who provides help and support to the daily activities of the person being cared for with unpaid or paid work and includes caring for family members, partners, friends and neighbours. Care provision can be both short term (caring for someone during illness or recovery) or long term (particularly of the aged).

Everyone is welcome and you can contact:
Courtney White (0428 538 765) or Sonja McCallum (0427 597 746).

This is an initiative of the Henty Local Health Advisory Committee.
