Coming up next weekend. ❤️

I love offering these shaking medicine workshops seasonally and have for many years but right now, the potency and the pressure of our times feel like they are calling for this medicine more than ever.

In a world asking us to move faster, hold more, to withstand the pressure of our times, this workshop offers space to slow down, soften, shake, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body.

As we approach the solstice, the turning point of the season invites us into slowing down, releasing what the body has been carrying, and reconnecting with ourselves beneath the noise, urgency, and pressure of modern life.

✨ Shake out the stress and pressure of our times.

Animals instinctively shake after stress or threat to discharge cortisol, survival energy, and trauma from the nervous system. Humans once did this too. This workshop offers a gentle space to reconnect with that innate wisdom through therapeutic shaking, somatic movement, breathwork, sound, ritual, and nervous system regulation practices.

All levels welcome. No prior experience necessary.

Have you met Lucinda?

Have you met Lucinda?

Haven’t done one of these in a while and there are some new people in this space. Welcome!

I’m Lucinda and I’m a certified therapist, somatic practitioner, and a KRI accredited Kundalini Yoga teacher and trainer, living on Awabakal, Newcastle, Australia.

My practice centres around 1:1 session work and my passion in teaching the powerful modality of Kundalini Yoga. I often work with clients who are working with relational, developmental, generational and childhood trauma, supporting them in moving past their triggers and processing unresolved emotional wounds. My work with clients tends to centre around learning new ways to inhabit, be with, and understand the body and it's cues.

I’m invested in collective liberation and community care, even though I’m certainly still figuring things out.

I love fiercely, care deeply, and believe that healing/wellness spaces need to be trauma informed and inclusive to all, including our trans/queer/bipoc/disabled kin. I’m deeply interested in exploring how those of us who are healing and those of us who are helping (one and the same!) can use our efforts in service to, not only our individual healing, but the collective dismantling of the systems of oppression and dis-ease that got us here in the first place.

This space is one I’m in constant negotiation with. I have a lot of sticky places in me when it comes to instagram/social media even though I see the use and the value in it. I often need to throw my phone in a drawer and disengage. Other times I’m meme hungry and want to muse about somatics, the body, movement and gesture, ritual, land, kundalini yoga or whatever else comes to mind that wants to unfold in public. You’ll see a blend of that here- sometimes prepared and put together and sometimes going off line and having deep immersions on the land.

When I’m not working, you can find me on the beach, going camping, long Sadhanas, hanging with my partner, or learning ceramics.

In the coming weeks I’ll be sharing a little more about my work and what sessions typically look like- but you can always learn more in the usual spot.

Glad you’re here!
