Inspired By Pilates

Inspired By Pilates I have been a massage therapist for over 25 years. I then went through to do my sports Massage and injury management certificate in 1995.

It all started in 1994 when i left school and i studied a certificate in Therapeutic Massage, the course only went for 16 weeks. After i finished my study i found work in a Massage Clinic in the City, this was a huge eye opener for me, as i had never worked with such different personalities. It was great though as i gained so much valuable experience. i worked at Brisbane Massage Therapy Center fo

r 5 years. When i left in 2001, i decided to give myself a break from the Massage industry and worked in various differing occupations. However massage was always my passion. i decided to go back and in 2010 and complete my Diploma in Remedial Massage through the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences. I started a Mobile Massage Business, so i could work around my children. in that time i worked in different locations and Clinical settings, I've worked with Acupuncturist, Chiropractors and Physio's. With all the experience i have gained over the years, i have now decided to open my own little clinic. i am very excited to be working in my chosen career, and have the opportunity to share my knowledge with everyone.

Today I worked on a Pilates client of mine with my Remedial massage skills.
Remedial massage is a career I took a step back from 3 years ago to heal from shoulder surgery and start building up my Pilates career.
She's a midwife and has been experiencing a very tender shoulder with limited range of movement.
My treatments have helped her with sciatica pain and also with a limited range of movement she has been experiencing in her right wrist due to tension throughout her forearm extensor and flexors.
Massage, dry needling and cupping has done wonders after 2 sessions.
I love the simplicity of old remedies like massage, traditional flame cups and dry needling combined can work wonders.
