As a woman in my mid-fifties, I see firsthand how ageing is often met with discomfort where our bodies no longer do what they used to, our appearance shifts and menopause is seen as the ultimate enemy. This midlife transition can bring grief, confusion and a sense of loss as we let go of the lives we once knew.

But what if instead of resisting this stage of life, we approached it with acceptance and embraced the beauty and wisdom that comes with age?

Often described as the afternoon of life or our Maga years, this phase marks a powerful transition in which a woman steps into her fullest wisdom and power. It’s a time when our energy naturally turns inward and we explore a deeper understanding of ourselves. We begin to let go of striving, proving and prioritising others, and instead move toward self-connection, reflection and a more grounded sense of purpose.

Menopause is not the end of who you were, but an invitation to step more fully into who you truly are. A shift in mindset is the first step.

Last weekend I had the best day merging my passion for kinesiology alongside my lifelong love of squash.

As someone who played squash most of my life, I am so excited to see projects like Squash Sisters encouraging women and young girls into the sport.

The tournament on the weekend was amazing - such a well organised event. Loved seeing a centre filled with women of all ages ... just like the good old days. 🤗

Maybe next time I could play? 🫣😬

A huge thank you to our incredible community supporters who help make events like the Women’s Classic possible.

Your support, encouragement, and belief in community sport make a real difference.

Soul Flourish
A heartfelt thank you for supporting wellbeing, growth, and balance within our community. Your contribution helps create space for people to thrive beyond sport as well as within it.

With the cool of winter settling in, it’s a perfect time to pause and appreciate the beauty that this season holds.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine winter is linked to the Water element which is a time to plant the seed and lay the foundation for future growth. It is the most yin and restorative time of the year. This season offers a chance to slow down and conserve your energy, inviting inward connection, reflection and stillness.

Take a slow walk in nature, nourish yourself with warm and hearty foods, and curl up next to the fire with your book and a cuppa. Embrace the value that winter holds. ☕🔥

In my Kinesiology sessions, I love working with acupressure points. Each point in the body can influence us in unique physical, emotional, neurological and energetic ways.

At the beginning of a session, I gently rub several acupressure points and ask whether any feel tender. Tenderness can sometimes indicate stagnant Qi (energy) within that meridian, helping to guide me towards what your body may need most.

But have you ever wondered how I choose which acupressure points are the right ones for your session?

Here is a brief insight into how I select which points to use:

✨ Points connected to the priority meridian, identified through muscle monitoring or your physical and emotional symptoms.
✨ Specific points that can nourish Qi, move stagnant Qi, release emotional stress or support the associated organ or gland.
✨ Points that support particular physical conditions or areas of the body.
✨ Groups or pairings of points which can encourage a specific outcome.
✨ Points that help promote the flow of Qi between connected meridians.
✨ The most active point at the time and day of your session.
✨ Master points linked to the extraordinary meridians based on your date of birth.

Feel free to ask me more about acupressure points at your next session - I always love sharing more about this fascinating area of Kinesiology.

During Kinesiology sessions, clients will often dismiss or minimise how they are feeling because they believe their situation is not as serious as what others are going through.

Yes, there are many difficult things happening in the world, and you may have friends or family facing incredibly challenging situations. But that doesn’t mean your experiences are not impacting your life too.

Your feelings are valid and deserve to be acknowledged, supported and expressed.

Some people have big responses to small events, while others have small responses to very big events. We are all different humans with unique life experiences that shape how we think, feel and respond.

So even if your struggles seem minor in comparison to someone else’s, please allow yourself to feel your emotions without guilt.

You are allowed to seek support.

You are allowed to talk about your feelings.

And you are allowed to honour your own story, even while holding compassion for others. 🥰

If you’re like me and spend a lot of time around women over 40, you’ve probably noticed how the conversation has shifted from partying and nightclubs, to comparing notes on perimenopause and menopause.

What I’ve come to realise through these honest conversations is that no two experiences are the same, with each woman having her own unique mix of symptoms, differing in intensity and impact.

But what’s not talked about as much is the emotional weight this transition can carry.

The sudden anxiety that wasn’t there before. The overwhelm that creeps in for no clear reason. The moments of snapping at your loved ones, then wondering why.

It can feel lonely. Isolating. Like no one prepared you for this part.

But this doesn’t have to be your silent struggle, or your ‘rite of passage’ as a woman.

Kinesiology offers gentle, natural support to ease symptoms, soothe your nervous system and guide you through this transition with compassion and care.

If this speaks to you, you can book a free clarity call, or dive straight into a session if you’re ready to feel more like you again.

Do you feel too stressed and busy to stop being stressed and busy? 🤔

It’s a catch 22. 🙄

You recognise the signs - feeling irritable, emotionally exhausted and trapped in survival mode. You know something needs to change before you reach burnout, yet the thought of finding time for ‘self-care’ in your already chaotic world only adds to the overwhelm.

Kinesiology offers a gentle and supportive way to stress less about stress.

During each session, we work to balance your nervous system so you can feel calmer, think more clearly and reconnect with your own resilience and capacity to manage everyday pressures.

Are you ready to take that first step?

~ Imagine if … ~

Can you imagine what life would feel like if you were:

💙 Energised and motivated
💙 Happy and self-assured
💙 Calm and confident
💙 Grounded and connected
💙 Lighter and at ease

Imagine stepping into a nurturing, safe space where you feel truly valued and respected. A space where you could share your story, let go of your worries and allow the tears to flow without judgement or shame.

Imagine what could shift when you no longer have to carry it all alone.

Imagine what it would feel like to finally put yourself first and receive the support you deserve. 💫

If you’re a woman over 40, chances are you’re juggling a lot. You’re driving your kids everywhere, keeping your career on track, trying to maintain relationships and then somehow keep everything running smoothly. 🥴

Then, right in the middle of it all, your hormones throw in a few curveballs. Suddenly, your resilience feels paper-thin, and the things you once took in your stride now leave you feeling overwhelmed, teary or snappy.

Many women assume fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog, weight changes or cycle disruption are simply part of getting older.

But hormonal shifts are only part of the picture. Chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation can significantly influence these symptoms, and in some cases may be a major underlying factor.

Your body may be responding to years of carrying too much for too long.

Kinesiology helps calm the stress response, support the nervous system and bring the body back into balance so you’re not constantly running on empty.

You don’t have to push through and just accept feeling this way. Support is available.

‘Stress’ is a word we often use without much thought, yet it shouldn’t be so easily dismissed. Ongoing stress can interfere with your body’s natural ability to function and can amplify other symptoms.

When your body has been under stress for a long time, your nervous system and adrenal glands can become overworked and less efficient - like a battery that hasn’t had time to recharge.

You may find yourself:

🥴 Overwhelmed and running on fumes
😵‍ Exhausted but wide awake at 2am
😤 Feeling irritated or reactive
🤒 Experiencing digestive or hormonal issues

These symptoms may not seem connected or important, but they can all be signs your body is struggling.

Kinesiology helps calm your nervous system and support your body to feel safe again.

When your body feels safe it naturally begins to relax, restore and heal, helping you think more clearly, release tension and feel calmer and more connected.

If this resonates, it may be a sign your body is asking for a little extra support.
