🍽️ Connecting Communities Across the Region

Last week, we were delighted to host two wonderful customer lunch events at The Park Hotel in Mount Gambier and at the Loxton Hotel.

Both events were well attended, with customers coming together to enjoy great food, great atmosphere, wonderful company, and the opportunity to connect with old and new friends. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces and meaningful conversations taking place throughout the day.

Not every act of support happens in the office.

A huge thank you to our incredible team member Isaac Miller, along with Leah Stout from Plan Partners and Tahnee Brookes from CareSquad, for rolling up their sleeves and donating blood through Lifeblood.

It's easy to forget that a donation that takes less than an hour can help someone facing cancer treatment, recovering from trauma, or a child relying on life-saving blood products.

This year's National Blood Donor Week campaign hit a little differently, with bandages inspired by artwork created by children whose lives have been touched by blood donations. A simple reminder that behind every donation is a real person, a real family, and a real story.

Giving back doesn't always need to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with an appointment, a comfy chair, and a willingness to help someone you'll never meet.

Congratulations Lou! 🥉🎯

A huge congratulations to Lou, our Chair of the Board, on winning bronze at the State Boccia Titles over the weekend—an incredible achievement!

Placing 3rd has secured Lou an invitation to represent South Australia at the Boccia Australia National Titles at the Australian Institute of Sport this November. What an exciting next step!

It was fantastic to see Lou in action, demonstrating skill, focus, and determination throughout the competition.

We were proud to have Enhanced Lifestyles employees, Isaac, Christie and Heidi there to cheer Lou on, alongside our Chair of the Members Advisory Group, Lynn, and Executive Manager of Operations Matt Stevens, showing their support from the sidelines.

We can’t wait to see what’s next—best of luck as you prepare for nationals!

Celebrating Ruth’s Generosity 💙

We’d like to take a moment to recognise one of our incredible customers, Ruth, for her invaluable contribution to supporting those experiencing homelessness and doing it tough in our community.

Ruth is an exceptional photographer and knitter, and over the years she has generously created and donated hundreds of handmade items to help those in need. Her kindness continues to make a real difference.

Recently, Ruth donated an amazing 72 handmade winter items to Puddle Jumpers, including:
🧶 41 beanies
🧶 6 tiny beanies
🧶 17 scarves
🧶 2 shawls
🧶 2 large wool scarves
🧶 4 pairs of fingerless gloves

Each item has been made with care, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others stay warm and feel supported.

Real Conversations Matter 💬

Last night, Isaac, our Funding and Engagement Coordinator, attended a session hosted by the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation—a powerful reminder of the importance of genuine connection.

A key takeaway was the need to move beyond surface-level check-ins and learn how to ask questions differently—creating space for more honest, meaningful conversations about how someone is really feeling.

Not a bad way to spend a Thursday night—enjoying pizza and genuine conversations focused on men’s mental health, alongside a room full of men from across the disability sector, plus Leah Stout from Plan Partners 💙

💛 Customer Spotlight: Making a Difference, One Cup at a Time ☕

A huge congratulations to Kymberleigh for her incredible generosity and ongoing support of the Biggest Morning Tea—now in her 6th year! 👏

She’s raised over $1,000 so far, and already $200 this year toward her $500 goal.

Kimberleigh’s devotion is deeply personal, “I lost my biological father to Hodgkin Cancer when I was 2 and half years old. I have been raising much needed funds for 6 years as I have lost several people I love to cancer. When I saw that I could receive a Biggest Morning Tea kit, I thought it was a fantastic idea and a great excuse to drink coffee or tea and eat delicious savoury and sweet food while supporting a great cause’’.

Her ongoing commitment to giving back is truly inspiring and a wonderful reminder of the impact one person can make.
