Hey everyone, due to unforseen circumstances I'll be taking a break from the business for a while, so I won't be accepting orders. I will occasionally post some plants I have an excess of in the meantime but that's about it. Cheers

Hi guys, sorry for the delay but we've definitely passed 100 likes so it's time for a prize draw to say thank you for all the support!
Just like this post (and the page if you haven't already) and comment 'prize!' and I'll pick a name at random to win! Easy!

You'll get an Anubias on lava rock and a bunch of my favorite plant, Hygrophila 'Sunset'

Good luck and thanks again for supporting a local business! :-)

Plant of the week

Anubias!
Everyone loves Anubias, its easy to grow, hard to kill and it looks awesome. There's lots of varieties, from the tiny Nana Petite to the giant Heterophylla.
Anubias is a rhizome plant so it doesn't like being planted in substrate, you can tie it to driftwood or rocks or just rest it on the substrate. It's a slow grower but once it gets bigger you can divide the rhizome and make it into smaller plants. One of the few plants you can keep with goldfish due to its tough leaves.

Plant of the Week
Every Wednesday I'll highlight one of the plants i grow, first up is...

Dwarf Chain (Echinodorus tenellus)
This is one of my favourite plants, in the same family as the better known Amazon Sword but grows faster and stays smaller, getting to around 10cm so suits smaller and larger tanks. Likes light but doesn't need anything fancy, will send out runners and fill your tank with baby chain swords in no time. If you like a carpeting effect but don't want the high tech tank this is a great option.
$5 each or a pack for $25
