There is something precious about preparing a poetry set. What words are beckoning to be spoken? What is the pulse of the moment? How can I step into the current of our collective knowing, and pull out a little glimmer that might resonate with your knowing?
Performing poetry, sharing it out loud to a gathering of warm breathing beings, feels like a meeting-point, where my inner world gets to bump your inner world, and hopefully our meeting will enliven something, awaken something, stir up something. or maybe just offer a moment of rest.

I’ll see you tonight (Weds 14th Oct) at Silver Words 6:30/7pm for a set themed around river, water, and some of the murkier currents alive in our world.

What a joy to be preparing new poems for a Guest Poet set at Silver Words next week. I'm particularly looking forward to the first sharing of a new river poem. To me, the first sharing always has an energetic heat to it, some kind of oomph that tingles with aliveness.

The call is here: time to slow down, to gather in deep meeting, to listen to each other and our different perspectives, with care and heart. Time to gather in community and seriously, playfully, ask for the earth's opinion on our burning questions.

I am feeling very blessed to walk alongside my co-weavers, Sue Stack and Liz Downes. The journey of curating this workshop has taken us into an unexpected number of strong ceremonies! Which surely means that the day itself will be filled with potency.

How many teenage hours were spent wandering this paddock speaking story to the trees and sheep??? What a delight to be back, this time preparing to share words with all of you!

EARTH. ICE. FIRE. WATER. Journey through the elements with piano and poetry. From rainforest, to arctic, to volcano, to Southern Ocean, this is a concert for carrying us deep into the beauty and majesty of our planet.

I'm collaborating with my increadible pianist father, Arnan Wiesel, who'll be playing works by J.S. Bach, Rachmaninoff, Messiaen, Liszt, Scriabin, Holland, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff.

Today I flew out of lutruwita’s haven, and have arrived in Ngunnawal Country, basking in the first rehearsal for our Sunday piano+poetry concert … with my dad! It feels like the biggest treat for my poems to be nestled amongst his exquisite piano playing, and I am so, so, grateful to have inherited his zaniness. Will it come out on the stage? Or will we be wearing our serious creative faces?

The wildlings are calling today, saying, become the goo inside the chrysalis. Let this ocean body move through your bloodstream, carry away the toxins held there for eons. The golden dome is being constructed through angel breath and dragon wings and find within that home the place where all this sludge can decompose and return to its source. Carry me into this crystal chrysalis, and let all things I call “me” vanish for a sweet time. Vanish and become golden. Become something truer.

I carry this essence on my skin today, and thank old dragon pine for carving out the banks of the river to make space for the lessons seeped in the toxin-clearing oysters lining the sandy shore.

So... my poetry book has officially been released into the world. The launch was... alchemical. Transforming me in ways that will take years to fully understand. The overriding feeling is utter joy. To be sharing with, and witnessed by, such a large cross-section of my many communities was very, very special.

Since Sunday I have been sitting in immense gratitude for all the family that made this event happen - the event, as in the launch, but also the event, as in the writing/editing/releasing of the book in the first place. Acknowledgments don’t do justice to the ways every event (and every moment) is a resonance-meeting of diverse ecologies co-creating life’s poetic magic. My poetry only *is* because we all *are* . Thanks for being, folks.
