That’s how Hollie’s mum described her after today’s session.

Hollie has hip dysplasia. We can’t fix dysplasia with remedial massage, but we CAN help release the tension that builds up around it, so she feels so much better in her own body.

Before → sternal lie with one hip lower, can’t get comfortable
After → more even, more settled, and that soft happy face!

Less bracing, more ease for Hollie.

You know that little pause your dog takes before getting up?

That moment where they stretch, shift their weight, or take a few slower steps before they really get moving?

It can be easy to put little changes like that down to age, a big day, or simply your dog slowing down.

But those subtle changes in the way a dog moves can be worth paying attention to.

You might notice things like:

🐾 Taking longer to get going after resting
🐾 A shorter or slightly different stride
🐾 Not stretching out quite as freely
🐾 Being a little more hesitant getting into the car
🐾 Moving differently on one side
🐾 Needing a little longer to warm up

Dogs are very good at adapting, so the changes aren’t always obvious.

Canine remedial massage can support their muscular comfort, movement and overall wellbeing.

A new chapter for Canine & Co Therapy!

After recently settling into Tassie, I’m so excited to be bringing Canine & Co Therapy to the Huon Valley!

I’ll be joining Thrive Whole Body Health in Huonville when they open on 28th September, offering both canine and human massage on selected days each week.

🐶 Canine Myofunctional Therapy
Targeted, therapeutic bodywork to support your dog’s muscles, movement, mobility and overall physical wellbeing.

🙋‍♀️ Massage Therapy for People
Tailored massage to support relaxation, muscular tension, stress and general wellbeing.

Mobile canine appointments may also be available for dogs who can’t come into the clinic.

The time has come to leave our beautiful property and the chapter it’s held, as we prepare to begin a new one in Tassie 🤍

This space has been home to so many meaningful moments and so many special dogs. I’ve felt so deeply grateful to do this work here, to help and assist so many pooches, it’s been such a blessing🐾

I now have just a few session times available before we go, over the next two weeks.
If you’re a current or past client and would love to book your dog in before we leave, please reach out as soon as you’re able.

Thank you, truly, for trusting me with your dogs. It has been an honour to be part of their healing journeys, and I will always carry this chapter with me. I will not ever forget any of you! 🐶🐾🐕🐕‍🦺🐩🦮

Just A little update..
As many of my clients already know, we are selling our beautiful property, which means Canine & Co Studio too! We’re relocating interstate, which will be a huge change, it’s going to be very hard leaving all of my amazing clients, as I’ve built such a strong connection with each of you 💛🐾

But I am continuing to treat dogs in the meantime with mobile visits on the Gold Coast, so I can keep helping your pooches feel their best!

I’m hoping to reopen the studio for treatments towards the end of November or early December once everything is settled, and continue until we leave sometime early next year.

I’m so grateful for all your support and trust as we go through this transition, and I’m excited for all the new things coming for Canine & Co next year, more qualifications & education = more ways to help more dogs live happier, healthier, longer lives!

Was a cold, rainy day yesterday!
Miss S was definitely feeling it in her joints.
During her massage she kept licking both her carpus joints (her little wrists), so I grabbed a warm wheat pack to help ease the ache.

A bit of warmth can make such a difference for sore, arthritic joints, it helps relax the muscles around them, improves blood flow and eases pain, and is so comforting on a chilly day. You could see her melt into it once that heat settled in!
If doing this for your own dog please make sure the pack is warm, not hot.

Sometimes that simple warmth and quiet stillness is all they need. 🐾💛
