Junior Sponsorship Spotlight : Cruise Chase ⚾️

We are excited to welcome Cruize Chase to the Symmetry Physiotherapy Athlete Sponsorship program at Altona Meadows.

Cruize is a talented young baseballer who plays locally for Newport Rams and represents Mets Charter and Victoria, while also completing a baseball scholarship at Maribyrnong Sports Academy.

After helping Australia qualify for the World Cup in November 2025, Cruize has now been selected in the Australian U15 Baseball Team and is heading to Mérida, Mexico next week to compete at the U15 Baseball World Cup.

Cruize has worked with Ty at our Altona Meadows clinic to help manage injuries and rehabilitation keeping fit and ready for tournaments and Australian selection opportunities.

We're proud to support Cruize and can't wait to follow his journey in Mexico.

Good luck Cruize and Team Australia! 🇦🇺

Today is R U OK? Day, but checking in matters every day. 💛

The signs that someone might be struggling aren’t always obvious. Sometimes it can simply be a change in how they’re behaving, communicating or connecting with others.

You don’t need to wait for a particular day to check in with a friend, family member or colleague. If you’ve noticed a change or have a feeling that something isn’t quite right, starting a conversation can make a difference.

Remember the 4 steps:
💛 Ask – R U OK?
💛 Listen – Give them your full attention
💛 Encourage action – Help them think about what might help
💛 Check in – Stay connected and follow up

If you’re thinking it, ask “Are you OK?”

For conversation tips and resources, visit R U OK?

If you or someone you know needs immediate support, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14.

Not all pain works the same way.

Acute pain often occurs alongside a recent injury or illness and usually changes as
the body recovers.

Persistent pain can be different. It may continue beyond expected healing and involve increased sensitivity within the nervous system.

This means how much something hurts does not always directly tell us how much tissue damage is present.

Understanding your pain can be an important part of knowing how to move forward.
🔷Acute pain often changes with recovery
🔷Persistent pain can involve increased sensitivity
🔷Sleep, stress and activity can influence pain
🔷Movement and strength can still be part of recovery

Learn more about acute and persistent pain and how physiotherapy can help.

If pain is affecting the things you want to do, book an appointment with your local Symmetry Physiotherapy clinic.

Understanding acute and persistent pain can help explain why pain sometimes continues after an injury had healed and why the right approach may change over time. Pain is something most of us experience, but it does not always behave in the same way. Pain following a recent ankle sprain can be very d...

Understanding Your Pain Is Part of Managing It

Pain can be straightforward after a new injury, but when it keeps returning or continues for months, the picture can become more complex.

Pain is influenced not only by what's happening in our muscles and joints, but also by how our nervous system processes information, previous experiences, activity levels, sleep, stress and many other factors.

Physiotherapy can help you better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and develop a plan to gradually rebuild movement, strength and confidence.

If pain is stopping you from doing the things that matter to you, we're here to help.

🔴Getting silly for a serious cause this Red Nose Day!!

There's plenty of red around our Symmetry Clinics today as our teams get behind Red Nose Day and help raise awareness and funds for an incredibly important cause.

Red Nose Day supports vital research and programs that help keep little lives safe, while providing support to families impacted by the loss of a child.

We hope to shine a light on the important work behind those famous red noses, while having a little fun and bringing a splash of red to our clinics along the way. 🔴

A big thank you to everyone across our clinics who joined in!

You invest in good tools. What about the body using them?

Strength is one of your greatest assets when you work in a physically demanding job.

It can help build the capacity you need for lifting, carrying, climbing and long days on the tools, while helping you feel less fatigued when the workload increases.

And strength is not about lifting the heaviest weight in the gym.

It is about preparing your body for the work you actually do, and building capacity for the years ahead.
🔷Build strength for your job
🔷Improve capacity for physical work
🔷Help manage fatigue across the working week
Train for a long and healthy career

Discover why strength is one of the best investments you can make for your body.

Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists can help you build a plan around your work and goals.

Train for Work, Not Just the Gym.

The physical demands of your job can be very different to those of everyday exercise.

Exercise Physiology can help build the strength, endurance and capacity you need for the work you actually do. Whether that involves carrying materials, climbing ladders, repetitive tasks or spending long days on your feet, exercise can be tailored to your individual role and physical demands.

The goals isn't just getting stronger. It's building the capacity to handle your working day and recover well enough to do it again.

Train with purpose. Work with confidence.

Our team came together for Daffodil Day, helping raise awareness and support the Cancer Council and the important work they do for people impacted by cancer.

We also had a couple of birthdays to celebrate, so there was no shortage of cake and good reasons to get the team together!

And while we were celebrating, we also took the opportunity to wish Brad Jones all the best as he finishes up with Symmetry and makes the move to working full time in Ballarat. Thanks for everything, Brad, and best wishes for what comes next.

A lovely day of supporting a great cause, celebrating our team and marking a new chapter for one of our own. 💛
