This National Sorry Day marks 29 years since the 1997 *Bringing Them Home* report, which exposed the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and culture through past assimilation policies.

Today, we acknowledge the lasting impact this separation has had on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

As we continue the journey toward genuine reconciliation, we take time to acknowledge these truths, reflect, and honour the strength, resilience and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

We remain committed to listening, learning, and recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Country.

Last week, we officially opened the doors to our beautiful purpose-built homes in Hamlyn Terrace alongside our Specialist Disability Accommodation partner, Good Housing 💜

With the ribbon officially cut, it was incredibly special to welcome providers, families, the NDIS, and community members into the homes to experience them firsthand.

These homes represent opportunity, choice, safety, and exciting new chapters for the people who will call them home.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Open Home and helped make the day so special. The conversations, shared excitement, and strong sense of community throughout the morning highlighted just how important accessible, thoughtfully designed housing continues to be across our sector.

Thank you again to Good Housing for your partnership and shared commitment to creating homes built around people and everyday living.

Happy Fri-yay! What a special day at Hamlyn Terrace 💜✂️

The ribbon was officially cut, the doors were open, and we’re still smiling after celebrating these beautiful purpose built SDA homes with our partner Good Housing.

Thank you to everyone who came along, explored the homes, shared conversations, and celebrated what these homes will mean for the people who will live here.
