Myth: You're contagious only when symptoms appear.
Fact: People are often most contagious in the first 2–3 days, sometimes before symptoms start.
Myth: Feed a cold, starve a fever.
Fact: No evidence supports this ...fluids and nutrition are needed for both.
Myth: Cold weather causes colds.
Fact: Colds are caused by viruses, not temperature. Winter clustering is due to more indoor contact.
