Ok so I did a thing..! I am tapping out of work for a time. Ilium wellness doors need to close so I can heal myself!
I slipped on my daughter‘s driveway and ended up dislocating my ankle and fracturing the three main bones. I’ve had one surgery and about to go in shortly for another. So I will be unable to do a heck of a lot at this time. More updates as I go along on this pivot of a path! 💖

This one landed yesterday for me. I see spells, intentions, prayers and wishes as the same thing really. They’re all working with energy.

We give our attention to something, we feel into it, hope for it, ask for it, maybe speak it aloud or create some kind of ritual around it. The way we do that might look completely different depending on who we are and what we believe, but underneath it all I feel we’re doing the same very human thing. Even making a wish on a dandelion. You hold it in your hand, think of your wish, breathe life into it and send it out on the wind. We’ve probably been working with energy for far longer than we’ve had words for what we’re doing.

Different names, but to me, that which is underneath is for the most part the same. I know some people will read this and think, “but prayer is different because I’m praying to God, Goddess or whoever”

And I completely understand that. I’m not saying everyone believes in the same source, or even understands energy in the same way. I’m talking about what we ourselves bring to the act.

A prayer carries our attention, emotion, hope and belief towards God/Goddess. A wish carries something of us towards what we hope might be. Intention gives our energy somewhere to move, and spellwork, for those who practise it, does much the same through whatever ritual or spiritual language belongs to them. The beliefs around each can be so different.

I just find it beautiful that human beings have always had ways of taking something that lives quietly inside us and sending it out beyond ourselves. Sometimes with folded hands, with candles, herbs or words. And even with nothing more than a dandelion and our breath.

So take a moment, and make a wish. ♥️

The next iteration of Ilium.

I have really enjoyed putting together the letter for you all for the month of September. Here is a little snippet of some photos I took as I weaved some special salt as part of my next offering.

I’m also moving that bit further away from the temple concept and stepping so beautifully into the hearth. I do touch a little bit in this letter on why Ive moved toward the hearth. And moved things a little in the letters themselves.

Rose hydrosol, old school. Kitchen herb woman weaving.

It was soooo beautiful to create this from some of the most fragrant rose petals in my garden. I am all for learning through traditional methods, but I am also innately centred to self learn as I go. I listen to my plants as they let me know the when of it.

I’ve been playing with the thought of making a hydrosol for over a year… finally it was time.

I’ve learnt it takes time, patience, gentleness and nurturing to gather this amount. Not more then just over half a bottle but utterly divine and so precious. A sacred heartfelt offering to weave through my next few sessions.

And there are the elements again. Earth in the plant herself, water holding her, fire creating the heat, her aromatic mist rising through air before returning once more to water.

I’m beginning to understand alchemy differently through these simple old processes. The elements moving together, each necessary, changing the other. Plant becoming hydrosol through their meeting. Lavender will be next when she speaks.

Today I finally went into the trees too. I’ve awaited the invitation and today it was there. I knew they were magical. I’ve known there was something about that land for a long time. It is so much more than it appears to be, and those who dwell within seem to relate when they are ready. Today felt like the beginning of that relationship.

It was only after my visit that I came across the Telluric realm. I’d never known of it before. Well in abstract ways but not the knowing of this realm. The living forces of Earth, the currents of land, stone, water, roots and place. It feels very close to what I experienced in there today and I’m excited to see what comes through future visits.

And the whales. Blessed wise ones travelling through Oomah. Gathering as they travel, moving through ancient waters, passing through so many places and carrying those journeys with them.

The elements, alchemy, plants, land, water, the old ways of making and the old ways of listening. I feel like I’m learning a language I somehow already know. In my bones!!! ♥️✨

I had the loveliest morning at the Wild Meadow Homemakers Exchange today.

The idea is so beautifully simple. You bring five things you have grown, made, baked or created and exchange them for five things someone else has brought.

I took along some of my oils and balm, and herbs from my garden and came home with eggs, honey, homemade treats and other little goodies.

But it was the morning itself that I loved most.

People gathering, sharing what they have, chatting over morning tea, swapping things made by their own hands. No money changing hands. Just generosity, community and a little return to an older way of doing things.

There was something really lovely about standing around that table and seeing what everyone had brought.

This was the first Wild Meadow Homemakers Exchange I have been able to attend and I really hope people get behind these gatherings. I would absolutely encourage you to come along if this speaks to you.

Fire, sometimes we choose and sometimes its ignites a change we are not yet ready for.

Ive been writing my book alot lately. Its been cathartic and at times difficult. Ive been writing the chapter on fire and today it showed up not just for me but also for a beautiful womans healing.

Its a gift when we recognise when fire is landing in our world. I truly hope I finish this book. I was recently told there was an 80% chance I wouldnt. That was the fire I needed under my butt!

Its been many years in the making (parts of it) but still quite a way to go. I put it down when it gets too hard..I recently lost it (I cant work out what happened..it was on my Mac ) and had to go back through my notes and start all over again. So in a way it was a reset and its now making sense as to why.

I learnt something about myself today in my rewrite and Im betting I wouldnt have if I hadnt had to start all over. Just grateful for hard copies..!

As you may already know, a beautiful new frequency has found its way into my healing room. ♥️

The Chiron ‘Wounded Healer’ 171.80Hz frequency wand was very unexpectedly gifted to me by two incredibly beautiful humans, Missy-Miakoda and Joncé from Infinite Harmony and I’m still a little blown away by their generosity. Thank you both so deeply. I know this wand will be worked with and loved deeply here.

Chiron is known in astrology as the Wounded Healer, the place where our deepest wounds can, over time, become some of our deepest wisdom and gifts.
