What a fantastic evening at Young Performers in Innisfail! 🎤🎸🏆

Darcy took to the stage and delivered a wonderful singing performance, accompanied by his big brother on guitar. It was a special moment to see the brothers sharing their talents and enjoying the experience together.

To top off an amazing night, Darcy took home a trophy! 🏆 We are incredibly proud of his confidence, dedication, and willingness to get up on stage and perform.

🚨🚓Last Thursday, our Life Ready participants had the opportunity to visit the Innisfail Police Station, where they were warmly welcomed and given a behind-the-scenes tour by Senior Sergeant OIC, Shawn Pipia.

The visit was both valuable and informative, providing participants with a greater understanding of the important role police play within our community. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Shawn and all the officers and staff at the Innisfail Police Station for taking the time to share their knowledge and experiences with us.

We were blessed with beautiful winter weather, plenty of smiles, and great company throughout the day. It was fantastic to spend time together, enjoy some friendly fun, and create more happy memories.

🚑🏥As part of Life Ur Ways’ Life Ready Program, our Wellbeing Counsellor/SLES Coordinator, Hayley Leonardi, has been organising industry visits to local workplaces to help participants explore the many employment opportunities available within our community.
Recently, our participants had the opportunity to visit Innisfail Hospital, where Carla kindly took us on an informative and engaging tour. We were given the chance to see areas of the hospital that many people do not usually get to experience, providing valuable insight into the wide variety of roles and career pathways within the healthcare industry.
The participants had a fantastic morning and gained a greater understanding of the different jobs available in our local community.
We would like to sincerely thank Carla for taking the time to share her workplace, knowledge, and experience with our participants.
We are now looking forward to our next industry visit — the Innisfail Police Station!🚨

Our Life Skills participants proudly presented Innisfail Youth and Family Care with their annual Mother’s Day packages, featuring handmade crafts created by participants across all activity groups. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the groups have supported this worthwhile cause through their generous donations.

The staff at Innisfail Youth and Family Care expressed their sincere appreciation for the ongoing support and thoughtful contributions.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to a participant from Life Ur Way for generously donating numerous handbags, shoes, clothing, and books. All donations are sincerely appreciated and will make a meaningful difference to those in need.
